Hi,

I have a MSI gaming laptop and the Dell S2417DG monitor, need help from pros here to achieve 144hz on the monitor and possibly use the gsync as well?

Currently they are connected via HDMI. There is no display port on the laptop, and does getting a hdmi to DP converter help? Anyone manage to set it up successfully?

You can't do 144 and G-sync if the monitor doesn't have those in the first place.

You can't without DP from your laptop.

What's the laptop model you're currently using?

1. Your laptop must have a Nvidia graphic card with Gsync enabled in order to use this.
2. The monitor has to be connected to your MSI laptop through DP only; HDMI or HDMI to DP converter does not support 144Hz.
3. Follow the steps here https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/S24...er/td-p/5133195

And sadly the laptop does not have any DP sad.gif

does it mean the even with a converter, if my laptop does not have any DP, i could not get 144hz monitor?

Sorry bro, unfortunately 144Hz is only achievable with DisplayPort only sweat.gif
