Hey fellow Apple users,

I've been using Apple since 2005 and all my devices are Apple including MacBook Air, Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad mini and previously iPod touch and MacBook Pro. Previously, I was happy with Apple but lately I feel the pricing is getting too steep. I'm unable to upgrade (I'm using iPhone 6) due to financial constraints. I thought of switching to Windows and Android but it's hard to get out of the Apple ecosystem. Once, I tried using an Android phone but I couldn't really sync with my other devices and I was not familiar with the system.

Has anyone here switched from Apple to fully Windows/Android? Was it one device at a time or all at once?

Perhaps one of you can advice an alternative instead?

Thanks!

I'm the one , since 2011 from my 1st of 11" MBA and many more until last year 2017 stop for buying iPhone X, due to dislike thier newer design with Notch.
After while use with Xiaomi Android phone until today.
Again change my MBP touch bar to ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Acer Swift 5 last week.
Windows and android also user friendly.
Unless apple MacBook has done something weight cutting edge.
To be honest Windows or MacOX both are not much different.
Just use to it.

I do struggle on this issue (smartphone). I strongly believe my next phone is no longer iphone due to the unreasonable pricing. Samsung and Huawei also increase their flagship phone to around RM4,000 which is crazy. They are not on the range but to give a fake perspective their phone is comparative with iphoneX, price increased for no reason. Look at P20, S9 and Note8.

I am windows users since day one. Then try out Macbook pro since few years back till now. I find that Macbook use a lot of command line to activate certain task whereby Windows does not much require command line.
Therefore, i am still prefer Windows Platform ease of communication or integration to Android, SmartTV.

You are right. Phones are so expensive now compared to times when a Nokia 3310 will do. Then again, we have to update to smartphones because our jobs require us to use them (responding to emails) and nobody uses SMS now, just WhatsApp. I'm surprised that even Chinese brands increased their phone price drastically.

I think you are more tech-savvy than me that's why biggrin.gif
For me, I just need to use basic functions. I don't even use Microsoft Word, Excel or Powerpoint. I also don't use Pages.

My previous line of work required Google Docs and email only. But I think most offices (not including designers) still use Windows. It's more affordable and a lot of softwares are meant for Windows.

P20 goes up to RM4xxx... That is crazy. iPhoneX broke the market price.

I was thinking to change a new phone if my i7p cannot cope with the operation requirement in the next few years, i hope it can last. But I choose those meet min requirement instead of high price smartphone.

I do think that apple make the best tablets. iPad are good examples, they are even more powerful than some laptops.

I still using both, macbook & alienware, ipad & android.

Not much different in application, more on setting & hardware. Anyway more comfortable/easy with windows & android.

I prefer used set for budget. Anyway apple gadjet still expensive new or used set. Normally windows & android cheaper used set. For example managed to bought Mate 10 pro at RM2.4k only(one week used set)
