Yeah, I was surprised too. After I entered my card details on the first page, the next page showed AMEX, Credit Card, and all I have to do is enter my name, billing address, handphone number, and email.

Carelessly, I've entered my CVV wrongly for the first time, and it showed "System is busy. Try again later", so I thought it wasn't working just like before.

Then I double checked my information and corrected the CVV code, and BAM! It worked, and it asked me to create a PIN for the China Wallet.

yes...it will take few days to do it, but still u will not allowed to use the card to top up your China wallet or deduct from the card...basically useless at the moment...

As for the verification fee, I've checked my credit card statement through M2U and was surprised they didn't charge my card. Usually these kind of services will do it, like when verifying my PayPal.

But anyway, it should be refunded to you, regardless the verification was successful or not. May take a few days though.

My friend work as an IT in a Bank...he said this Bank also working on accepting Wechat Pay...

This looks interesting, I may look into this option in my next trip. My PayPal is linked with credit cards, not sure if that will work. Well, will definitely check this out. The rate looks good.

Some people said if u download wechat in China, you can link your foreign CC. So I used a VPN to download from Hong Kong. The China wallet did allow me to link a foreign CC but will not allow me to do China wallet top up with that foreign CC.

This is even better news and support as even the local banks are playing a hand in having Wechat Pay accepted locally. Will definitely pick up momentum after official launch.
