Smart of wechatpay to end the promo before the weekly fuel price float comes into effect.

This is very true, I believe many ppl also waiting for new fuel price as it's speculated to be below RM 2. If new price plus WeChat promo, think 200m queue line at Petron haha

They end it on such a short notice and no pre alert on exact date. It's like fraud to get ppl to link and park money in their app.

This company really no integrity. If not sincerely want to do this then don't. Or have the decency to say up to a certain amount have been claimed.

They're already much better than many "while stock last" promo. At least there were few hours gap after they gave an indication of "ending soon" warning. Thought I think they should be clearer, i.e ending 12am tonight, let everyone have their chance to redeem before that

Hmmm I completely understand your frustration but u won't find anywhere an instant rebate promo giving u RM20 rebate on the spot...no other BS criteria or luck.

Most promo nowadays will say "stand a chance" "first 100 customers" whereby you don't even know in the end if quota really reached and people will keep buying hoping they made it to the first 100. At the end of the day, no one would even know if they really gave out cashback to first 100 customers.

For this instant rebate it is straight forward, and they told u the quota is reached so u won't have to keep pumping petrol hoping u will get cashback.

Anyway, I can only feel sorry for those who are late to the party. Even though I only managed to pump once.

Moreover, last night I pumped RM 40 only realised promo ended, the refund was seamless and quick. Try that with Boost, after spent, waiting for luck if any CB, suddenly customer service said quota habis despite you spending early in the morning. See can refund or not haha.

Not saying Boost is not good, Boost is good in many aspect, but this type of promo, I think we should acknowledge WeChat's effort

But WeChat Pay cannot use CC. While TnG e-wallet or Boost accepts CC.

There's a difference between debit and credit cards. If people know how to maximize their credit cards cash back, they will know how to utilize these e-wallets to get extra cash.

For WeChat Pay, I mainly use in China. For Malaysia, just used less than RM 50 as of now.
