TnG is one of the biggest disgrace and blood sucking company around.
-make you jumps hoops to redeem your unused balance or even to transfer to another card. I know many ppl whose balances are just forfeited just of the trouble to reclaim it. All these amounts sure adds up -skims tonnes of interest from our prepaid cash. I read somewhere interest income is quite a significant chunk of its profits. Yet never bothered to give back any little amount to benefit is customers. Even tnb pays interest on our deposit for goodness sake. -10% blood sucking fee to for paying parking fees. So if my parking charges is RM10, are you tng doing 10x extra processing compare to the guy whose parking is rm1? As an matter of principle I always go to the ticket machines to pay and give middle finger to TNG. But with the RFID toll monopoly, looks like they are here to continue blood sucking. Still... Hoping for some other ewallets...WeChat pay, Samsung pay or any other will do well in Malaysia so that I don't have to give too much business to tng |

QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Aug 22 2018, 07:37 PM) not copy, buy paid software license to those China developers. Touch n go e-wallet is based on the alipay payment system. TNG Digital is a joint-venture concern with Alibaba Group affiliate Ant Financial Group. So its a bit look alike. Including BOOST. Didn't want to download tng wallet previously but did it recently because of the RFID. Already registered to be a pilot user. It's supposed to start in Sep. RFID will be fully introduced starting next year. |

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Aug 22 2018, 06:24 PM) So far, Wechat Pay is just your typical e wallet that's just embedded into your Wechat, what it can do is almost the same as other e wallets. Boost still wins in terms of wider coverage (although not that wide tbh), cashbacks and shake rewards. yeah, agree. I am one of those who is lazy to install so many app and e-wallet in my phone taking up all my phone memory. I am so loyal to my 'principle' that I only have WeChat installed in my phone, and no Whatsapp. LOL! that is why I still hope very much that WeChat Pay Wallet to improve and be as good as its counterpart in China. Now I have Boost installed in my phone simply because of its cashback reward. I doubt I will use it once the cashback reward ends.. |

QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Aug 22 2018, 09:16 PM) He not the 1, me too dislike whatsappin the past. In contrary, actually I don't like WeChat. But now due to majority Malaydians using whatsapp, then no choices lo. The most annoying gesture with WeChat is when people talking to each other using the walkie-talkie approach! |

I still hope WeChat can develop like the one in China. One app for everything and not only for chatting.
They have e-hailing, bike sharing, bills payment, hospital queue system, airport luggage pick up, tickets purchase and many more with the app. |

I think they're one of the few who still gives hope and potential for e wallet usage here. If you're willing to use Wechat Pay without the goodies, pretty sure using Boost isn't a problem for you either after the cashback reward ends (if that's what they're gonna do of course). For me, I dislike Whatsapp and hate FB Messenger. The most annoying gesture with WeChat is when people talking to each other using the walkie-talkie approach! I dislike Whatsapp because of the bland UI, and it forces me to download and save the image to my phone so I could see it. I hate Messenger because it's an absolute battery drainer. Don't really like Wechat as well because of the UI, but it's not a big deal. If I had a choice, I would've ditched Messenger and Whatsapp, but some of my friends are using it so there's no choice. Tbh, I prefer Line over the others, too bad only one or two I know are using it. |
