QUOTE(tishaban @ Aug 11 2018, 12:21 PM) According to Toms hardware, they estimate there's going to be two versions of the 1180 (if they call it that). US$999 for the lower end version, US$1499 for the higher end version. Oooo RTX instead of ti naming for top tier. Ray tracing tech huh. Sounds good to me. More realism lighting in real time 3D rendering.I think you can estimate the prices for the 1170, 1160 yourself. You might want to keep using that 680 for awhile longer. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-tu...-faq,37067.html |

QUOTE(Lurker @ Sep 24 2018, 01:03 PM) Taiwan is cheaper.example: MSI RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X trio. Taiwan price ~RM5388 + shipping ~RM110-RM140 + insurance (optional) ~RM56 + Malaysia sst 5% custom code 8471.80.7000 (based of [Cost+Insurance+Freight] x 1.05) = total paid ~RM5770 to ~ RM ~RM5863 max. That if you order online. If you have friends there buy and bring to Malaysia hand carry much cheaper. Malaysia price currently based on price list = RM6200 |

QUOTE(craxors @ Sep 28 2018, 08:44 AM) With that mark up Asus Malaysian pricing for strix 2080ti, I could buy 3x Asus Zenfone 5Z 8GB ram / 256GB storage and still be useful as multicam streaming later on over the years. While the card might end up being a paper weight or cup stand. |

The only 2080 Ti that didn't get "cut throat" mark up pricing in Malaysia. Only slight mark up. Tbh, its good enough for anyone who still want newest and latest if they don't opt for buying from the land of chips and want to donate freely to local seller distributor. It's not a bad card. |

MSI 2080 Ti Gaming X trio PCB detailed analysis. (notable correction ; uses UP9512 8 phase instead of MP2888 10 phase)
Asus ROG Strix 2080 Ti detailed analysis. (important point at the near end of the video regarding Nvidia power limit restriction and all this useless component upgrade for average consumers will not see any difference at air/water Amperage unless going beyond that [efficiency].) |

It's definitely silicone lottery. Thats why I suggest earlier on this thread, for average gamer who want the latest , newest and opt to buy from local distro, just buy the Zotac one.
It's good enough. Sun Cycle is local distro for Zotac. Ipoh Lang. |

QUOTE(dexth @ Oct 14 2018, 12:02 AM) Just received Zotac RTX 2080ti AMP. Some pictures and preliminary bench result. Nice.Tested on secondary PC with brely OC i7 6700K (4.2Ghz). Will test main PC with i7 8700K (4.8Ghz) later. Gfx score seems ok but only hovering around 1900Mhz. ![]() Firestrike Stress Test on your new card with thermal imaging. QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Oct 15 2018, 02:38 PM) I recently got a 1080 Ti FTW3 for ~ RM2400 from Garage Sale. It was a video editing card not mining, with the complete box and all... Can consider X34P monitor too.Going from 970 -> 1080 Ti was quite the leap. But on a 1080p display i7-3770 + 1080 Ti = bottlenecked at 1080p/1440p but almost completely diminished at 4K. Still scouting for decent 4K display, no need fancy G-Sync / High refresh rate. I game occasionally I will wait for 30-series IF... RTX/DLSS is a big thing in 2019 / adopted well. |

Why NVIDIA made separate executable for NVIDIA NGX update and run scheduled tasks to check daily on startup?
Tried to search for answer but no luck. ![]() |
