QUOTE(Kidz1995 @ Jul 6 2018, 07:01 PM) hello guys, is GTX 1060 worth for 240hz gaming? I dont want to spend 3k++ (1080ti) for a 2 years old card. Just wondering if anyone use 1060 with 240hz monitor. Thanks i dont think even 1080ti can push all games to 240fps, unless games like cs goMy specs are 8700k, 16gb ram. |

QUOTE(Kanan Jarrus @ Jul 7 2018, 11:38 AM) cheaper motherboard would suffice? i really hope that's the case, because i would afraid that it might be not compatible(that's just my assumption laa) when it comes to matching with GTX1080 graphic card and i7-7700 processor, because i only care about the 2 criteria(graphic card + processor), the rest like PSU, sound card, casing blablabla can be picked later if i wanna narrow down my budget more, but since motherboard is also one of the core components in any rig, i need to pay attention to it also currently the motherboard that i'm eyeing on is ASUS PRIME H310M-Kv with price of RM275, not sure if i should top and and go for more h310m not compatible with kaby lake right, u need to find 1xx/2xx series mobo |

QUOTE(Kanan Jarrus @ Jul 7 2018, 11:52 AM) i see, i think if like that it won't even be compatible with coffeelake 8th gen proc, btw, how do i look for 1xx/2xx series of mobo? do i look at the label right after the name, or it's in the specs? name or specs, both usually will mention it, if u are using i7 7700 look out for 2xx series for safe measure |

QUOTE(seichirosano @ Jul 7 2018, 01:58 PM) wait, so meaning it has the exact same cooler with amp! edition but with stock speed? meaning lower power draw / temperature out of box? the cooler design looks the same, but the clock speed is stock, so i dont know, its not guaranteed u can overclock it to match amp edition, this cooler is quite sucks btwmeaning i can just OC to match the clock speed and they advertised it as zotac 1080 ti dual fan |

QUOTE(edmund_yung @ Jul 7 2018, 04:57 PM) Can the 1080Ti turbo up to whatever that the cooler is capable off? Or can me manually OC up to the power/thermal limit? ya usually auto boost, mine sitting around 1900+ core, manual oc also can, use msi afterburner, but this beast is hot, my small room feel like sauna even when ac turned on while gaming |
