I think the supply chain here has scalp until they're stuck. 3070 and 3080 costs more than their Ti counterparts shakehead.gif

Trying to cash in on stupid miners with the 3070/3080 since all Ti models for each are low hash rate...

But LHR units for the other cards have already started shipping, and may also not be clearly marked on the box!
*
Galax announced their LHR cards, but there's non floating in the market so far.

Not sure if local distributors will even bring these in, because it will cause the stocks of non-LHR cards to stagnate and cause even more pricing irregularities laugh.gif

Seems like LHR 3070's have reached our shores but then it's nowhere near MSRP

Hmmm... Dunno will this affect prices again...

Wouldnt that help drive the price down further? Scalpers are holding non-LHR units and asking for a premium. If LHR units can get full hash rate, that would nullify the point of non-LHR cards and scalpers would have to let them go

They can scalp all they want. People who know MSRP and have patience won't buy them. Zotac RTX 3070 Twin Edge is crap anyway.
*
I just managed to get that piece of crap for RM2399. I'm happy with this piece of crap so far

Great. Like I said, I can look the other way for that price if I really need it.
*
I've used shit brand like zotac for a few generation of cards. So far none of it died on me.

Another shit brand I liked was Winfast, but cant seem to find them anymore sad.gif

Leadtek.

If I recall, there were 30-series Leadtek cards locally.
*
Yeah I think it appeared for a very short time, then totally gone.

I still got some really old leadtek cards that still can run if I plug it in laugh.gif Boring green PCB with no bells and whistles

Review benchmarks are usually around 21C ambient. Our ambient is a lot higher. Also, reviews using top of the line CPU and more RAM. Your RAM is running on single channel. That is a big deal.

This is mine with i5-12600K, Zotac RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC and 32GB DDR4-3600 CL17. 27C ambient.

Yup. Like I said, I can look the other way with that price, which is RM2399 at Low Yat Promo last month.
*
How's it performing so far? Mine get to near 70C on load. Havent try replacing the thermal paste to see if it helps laugh.gif

You managed to get it cheap?

Yup. Meanwhile, I can hear the card.
*
Yeah it's noticeable, but it isnt too loud that it becomes an annoyance.

Too bad there isnt much aftermarket air coolers for rtx30 generation. I've always change the stock cooler of my previous GPU's with arctic cooling ones

Saw a 5070 going for 2.5k. Just pulled the trigger. Although this is probably the most bashed 70 series GPU, it's still an upgrade over my 3070 biggrin.gif

Thats a good price, about the same as 5060TI 16GB launched MSRP for OC models. It still beat the pants of 5060TI 16GB despite its smaller VRAM so its still a very competent card.

Where you get from?
*
Got it from brightstar on shopee 15th may sale. the 5060ti 16gb was on sale for 1.8k if i recall

Prices are coming back to sane levels and that 5060TI is at Nvidia MSRP. This is what activism does when people are fedup with high prices, dont support scalpy prices and just wait. Some people just want to be waterfishes.
*
No idea man. i find it quite funny that brightstar had a sales event at lowyat selling 5070 for 2699, but in shopee can get for 2.5k.

I checked today the prices are at high 2.6k to 2.7k, which is still fair i guess?

5060ti 16gb are back to 2.1k-2.2k

Yeah, that's actually a good price though icon_idea.gif
Although I find it strange there is a huge price gap between the 5070 and the 5070 Ti laugh.gif
*
probably theyre dumping 5070 now. maybe next couple months they will start dumping higher end models.

you can see so many of the 5080s and 5090s just sitting on their shelves

Hey guys, been a long time since my last PC.

Was wondering, is around 2.6k a good price for RTX 5070?

Is Colorful Battle Ax any good?
*
Using one here. So far so good. Cooling is good with 5 heatpipes + 3 fans setup

The fans stay idle most of the time, but when it spin you can hardly hear it.

No coil-whine as well, which is usually associated with cheaper cards

The card itself is quite long and does sag a bit, so if you have GPU support bracket that would help
