so when rtx5090TI appears in the future with a 500w TDP, they dont have to worry because they’ve invested on a 1kw PSU (since they have to buy a new one for the 3080)
*
that time ddr5 memory, basically will need new PC anyway, new mobo new cpu etc

Ask for ya opinion x570 TUF & x570 Rog Strix almost same spec right only pricing strix you pay extra cause of the branding? So TUF value wise the best?
*
u mean motherboard?

x570 Crosshair VRMs are better. TUF value wise the best yes, the one rm 1.1k ish that one.

The 2nd choice after ASUS should be
EVGA (if available)
Gigabyte and MSI

others all not really.

Yes good value.
Even a 1080Ti is a huge jump for me from 980Ti.
The 3070 is even better.
The 3080 is a huge jump for 1080Ti.
The resolution is about right unless you're aiming for 240hz 1440p, which you need both the RTX 3080 and Intel unlocked gaming CPU.
*
Why intel. 5900x smoke 10900K for less temp and better performance.

sad.gif if pour also pour a long lasting card. like Asus...
*
Agreed if u look at keeping card for long period 4 years above or over clocking
Resale value also better
Binned chips go to strix versions
Better cooler vrm pcb design quality assurance longetivity

QUOTE(thisisrazin @ Oct 27 2020, 11:24 PM)
What proof do you have that Zotac card won't last just as long or even longer? Sounds a lot like brand fanboyism to me.
*
If just stock performance not into OC sure would pick zotac.since it has 5 yr warranty. Apart from that the build is cheap
The pcb is cheap
The vrm sucks
Cut corners in design compared to other pcb designs
If you are regular upgrader every gen sure why not. Resell it in 2 years up 4080

Yeah I'm using it the 3080 FTW3 Ultra. The looks really grew on me and currently in love with it. Card is cool af too, some games like Phasmo/WoW the fan doesn't even spin most of the time.

Hows your gpu and cpu temps under load and gaming?

This is XL or biasa dynamic? Nice rig btw but its like too common until no longer special. Everyone on reddit has it

I have the Zotac Trinity OC. I can't comment on the Gigabyte card but here are some of my feed back on the Zotac card.

The software is f'ed up. You might break your RGB if you download and use it. So far no "official proper" fix for it from Zotac. You are left with the stock bright blue static LED without using their Firestorm utility app. Gigabyte can't get any worst than that for sure.

These cards run hot. So once you game with it the fan will spin. Compare to my previous card, Palit Jetstream gtx 1070, this is like literally a jet beside me. I undervolted my card and it's much better now since less heat is produced.

It's long. Retardedly long. Make sure your case can fit. However, I think the Gigabyte card is even longer? XD
*
Theres a reason GN nv review lowtac and even discouraged it on old review. Low quality bs. Need to undervolt lagi. For the 3.3 to 3.5k pricing go ASUS TUF and dont worry anymore.

yeah everyone has the case but I've always wanted it because its so clean.

XL dynamic.

CPU temps are toasty because its a 3900x, had to undervolt to get it to about 50c idle, 70 load.

GPU is at 50c idle as well and never goes above 65c under load even when benchmarking 3DMark - so far FTW3 is solid.
*
I fear as such. It is not so different from ROG helios in terms of temp which ppl report 75C GPU on load and 65C CPU on load. Bec building a more expensive ROG helios PC with the more expensive ROG thor PSU still saves up RM1. 5k ish compare to building a dynamic XL with corsair AX1000 with all other same parts that I planned for bec of the expensive corsair QL120s and the need of commander node pro.

This will help me in my decision making down the road.

Thanks!

I think it's the same card as Gaming OC, it's just different aesthetic. It's a sexy card for sure and I love the clean and minimalistic look & no overkill RGB. It would even look good for a Black/White Build
If I wasn't gunning for 3080 Strix and now AMD's 6000, I would have pulled a trigger on this card for sure
If I was in your shoes, I would definitely go for ROG Helios coz you get like 4 free noctua fans in there & what you said makes sense, RM1.5k saving is no joke.
But the airflow is still horrible unless you remove the front panel, so I ended up going for P500A
*
P500A is a nice case too. Thanks to Tech Jesus I got to known it better. It was my initial PC case of choice until I decided to increase my budget for aesthetic purpose as well lolz.

Did u use a normal case without drgb or drgb case? And did you change the fans or stick to the phanteks SK fans? I was thinking if i were to own 1 I would swap out the fans and buy the cheaper non rgb case, put 140mm x3 in front and 1 exhaust hind (venturi HF 14, cheap and one of the best in terms of cfm and noise lvl) for a non RGB build.

Last but not least How's the temperature like?

That’s the whole purpose of my build.. go overpowered so i can enjoy silence with max 1080p settings rclxms.gif (and crank up the power only when needed primarily model training.. unfortunately 10gb is abit lacking but owell... if it starts crashing then id have a reason to get 3090
*
I think is abit wasteful of 3080 potential if u don't use 1440p monitor. Try to grab 1 next sale? Come 12.12 or christmas. Now lg 27gn850 is only 1.6k

In 3080 and 3090 benchmark

Low tech scores lowest.

3070 still ok

For me I'd really not save that few hundred ringgit and cheap out on poorer pcb components (do visit bullzoid vrm pcb review if u unsure what i mean) unless u are the type upgradr and sell every gen.
