It's just like when you overclock your CPU, all is smooth until you run a stress test.

That's why as a tech reviewer I keep conversations private. Anything disagree, keep it professional and within comms.

QUOTE(sakuraboo @ Nov 7 2020, 03:30 PM) Yeah preferably Yes, he has some good contents but there are many that I also disagree like that AIO one. But he's known to put many things out in the open, occasionally comments with the engineering team regarding the stuff he reviews For eg his discussions with the aio engineers etc You can't have cake and eat it People shouldn't be blindly supporting either Steve or these companies You know because of his AIO video so many mobs go Internet kacau people every time there's a build? His content about MSI is about his contact only but the rest of the world say MSI bad. WTH. The list goes on, you not happy with brands don't make a video out of it. In the local scene right, I don't even make negative content yet locally got other media / brands / distributor / shops screenshotting me say nonsense about me already. LOL case one I tell you. |

After trying it out and even overclocking it for a bit, man ........ RM 1,999 with 90% (average) the performance of the RM RM2,599.00 card Felt like Nvidia killing their own card, as if RTX 3070 Ti might be coming, and that this one is pre-empt RX 6700 if any! |

QUOTE(terradrive @ Dec 3 2020, 07:43 PM) still got base rm2399 3070... I didn't compare cross brand la.and the base 3070 can overclock a bit too... Yes got base 3070 at RM 2,399 and base RTX 3060 Ti at RM 1,899 even. No matter how you look at it the performance is really close, no doubt just saying if one doesn't want to spend RTX 3070 amount they have options. It's what people have been doing for ages. |

QUOTE(terradrive @ Dec 3 2020, 08:03 PM) Not to mention over 90% of the games, an overclocked strix 3060ti at 325watts power limit can hardly reach 95% of base 3070 stock fps That one goes without saying, clock the core and mem anyone wants but physical limitations are still there. RTX 3070 no matter how is the stronger card, just not the price to performance aspect. Not to say 3060ti is a bad card, it's a very good priced card, but don't underestimate base price rm2399 3070 cards That Strix you mentioned, are you referring factory OC or user OC? I manually OC, can just reach around 95% mark and that also averaged. I can't do +200 core on the 3060 Ti with me, didn't spend too much time OCing either. Memory I went from +200 to +300 saw little to no difference. |

QUOTE(freakenstein @ Dec 4 2020, 12:01 AM) I've just gotten the Colorful 3060ti , imo , no point getting the higher tiered one when it's touching 3070 price range. So lowest end it is! Replacing mah old age GTX 970 |

AMD claims it to be the RTX 3070 beater! Now, we'll just have to see local pricing and availability. RTX 3070 also crazy priced these days. RTX 3060 Ti is no less than RM 3,000 already so I don't think SEP of USD 479 is possible, I don't recall Radeon cards being anywhere close to SEP anyway. General_Nic liked this post

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Mar 4 2021, 09:57 AM) When was the last time AMD was cheap here? ATI Radeon Wonder days? Yeah that's what I was saying. Never the SEP, always a lot higher.RX 5700 XT I bought used also RM 2,000 already - luckily it's high end model and mint condition just few months old. |

QUOTE(TristanX @ Mar 4 2021, 09:55 AM) Any GPU across the board won't be cheap. Its becoming general shortage. Wait for 2022, at least..... Besides that one, given that RTX 3060 Ti is already RM 3,000 and above. It's not possible to see RX 6700 XT being at that price point or lower if it beats the RTX 3070. |
