so out of the 10 6800xt vs 3080x .. 4 of them has inbuilt benchmark i can only test 3
so lets see 10900k-51|48 2x16gb 4400c18 RTX3080 nerfed to 320w limit with max temp 68c rads nerfed to 200rpm.. pump nerfed also to lowest d5

That AMD 6080XT benchmark against 3080 looks more like equal performance. 6800 vs 3070 that one is more like beat the shit out Techpowerup using 9900K and 3080 FE benchmark SOTTR get 169 fps for 1440p https://www.techpowerup.com/review/nvidia-g...edition/26.html
"The ray-traced shadow effects look particularly stunning in tomb and ruin environments. In the interest of neutrality, however, we disabled both features"
they disable shadow effect
Isn't that part of ray tracing? I think it's the screen space reflection and contact shadows
NAS over 1Gb Ethernet connection (something I also has) is not appealing to me, mainly because of slowness.
Slow? You use for video right? How big is the bit rate? I don't think it goes over 100 Mbps I play 4k 60fps video stream from my NAS, it doesn't even exceed 30 Mbps
Don't know if this Fractal Design Define 7 case can also accommodate that Trinity OC card while having plenty HDD

For videos it will be OK. but my local HDDs has gazillions of archived large files and terabytes of small files. The latter is where local system copy really shines.
You always move TBs of small files? These day NAS also have m.2 nvme slot for caching, like Synology DS920+ That will help especially when writing small files.
Having plenty of HDD in case also will generate additional heat. Bad for gaming.
Talking about PS5, just saw that can preorder PS5 starting today. Went to Sony site and it's already sold out. 3000 series also hard to find until now. Doesn't feel like economy is bad.
Hi, all, kindly ask anyone facing the Windows 10 don't know revert back to original suppose color setting after using some apps where make the Windows 10 washout for HDR monitor.
I facing 2 apps so far had this issue. I am using dual monitor, one is HDR, another is SDR and running Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Graphics Card from Gigabyte. Both connect using DisplayPort. Monitor is LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 27" 27GL850 (HDR) as main and LG 34” 34UC97G UltraWide Monitor (SDR) as secondary.
1) Using Windows 10 Screen Saver. <<-- A bit washout. 2) Grim Dawn <<-- Extremely washout after exit the games.
Temporary solution to solve this is I need to change back to default color setting and later change back to NVIDIA color settings at NVIDIA control panel.
Hahaha! Yup, totally 9 actually. I didn't setup NAS as it is heavy which is not portable. Some more NAS machine itself even Synology already not cheap.
Sometimes I need bringing along either one of it, so external portable HDD is best solution for me.
NAS not just store media, can do a lot other things.

asus has always been sold at a premium markup price here. And that’s the official price. Thus ive long blacklisted the asus brand... Unless it’s 2nd hand.
That's why surprisingly TUF price so down to earth. Maybe one time management decision error.
I don't find sound trash yet, I don't have any audiophile equipment, so cannot compare. I just want to taste better sound quality.
As I said I don't know anything about this, so want to learn lo.
The 3.5mm always make cracking sound to me after sometimes using. Bluetooth got delay. So I just use Optical and this is the 1st time I am using Optical.
For gaming, headphone is the best as it can simulate audio from front/side/back position. If speaker then you'll need 5.1 system. 2.0/2.1 won't able to create sound at your back.
Listening song through speaker can get Edifier S3000 Pro or Airpulse A100/A200/A300, or A300 Pro if you want to go crazy. Looks like 12.12 Edifier will have offer for these selected models.
Definitely. The stock for rtx3070 seem like plenty as of now. Nvidia again f u their customer with such strategy like what happen with those super card series for 2000 series. Anyhow I think this was a good response from Nvidia toward rx6800, I don't mind if they compete with each other in term of market share and release a better cost per frame rate card. Lol, it's interesting to see how amd might react with the rumored rx6700.
To be fair the current rtx3060ti was a good value card for now according to the msrp. Quite sad that amd radeon pricing in Malaysia seem to be worst than international market so those thinking to get the rtx3060ti might be unlikely to regret it. I doubt they will come out with rtx3060ti super to replace the card.
I got 2070 and feels the burn when just after few months later Nvidia release 2070S which give double digits increase in performance at the same price. 3070 owner sure feel more burn, less than 1 month now got card that much cheaper but almost same performance.
This time I'll wait till both finish show hand and stock readily available only decide which to get. Early adopters are like lab mice to them.
This is like last time RAM fiasco. Demand overwhelmed supply so all crazily marked up. I think mainly more on new consoles taking up manufacturing slots than because of Covid.
Not so sure on that but console are using 7nm chip from tsmc just like radeon card. Radeon stock low highly seem like related to console as priority of chip is going there.
But for Nvidia wise they are using 8nm from Samsung. There have been information like the 8nm yield from Samsung is low and on top of that covid affect manpower so nvidia card was low in supply.
Yes you are right. Now is wrong time to buy card.
Nvidia have to change use Samsung because TSMC don't have slots left after all taken by Sony and MS.
Now was such a bad time to buy a card. The price was higher than ever due to high demand and low supply. If can wait then better wait till January next year to see how it goes.
They are just doing business. Ordinary business man style, when demand is high they will maximize the profit and cannot blame them also. Consumer is the 1 that caused this situation. If no consumer buying it at this price then they will lower it down.
But what happen now is they set a high price point and yet everything sold out in very short time. So for them, no reason to it sell cheaper when they can earn more.
What consumer should do is encouraging more competition and go to those with better price performance ratio then the price will become more reasonable. No point to become a fan for a certain colour when what they want is your money n it's nothing wrong. They are not doing charity.
The brand holder themselves are partly to be blamed, in this case is Nvidia and AMD. Imagine Apple or Samsung allowing their just launched flagship model being scalped by their own distributor.
And yeah I agree those consumer that willing to pay for brand instead of performance are the special kind of smart people.
I've yet to try FreeSync or Gsync compatible but I think they remove screen tearing as good as the real deal Gsync... unless FPS drops out of FreeSync adaptive range (some as high as 48fps)
Another feature I come to appreciate after owning a Gsync monitor for some time is variable overdrive.
Just hope they got a solution for FPS above monitor max refresh rate in the future. Currently Vsync will kick in and will affect input lag. Honestly, if your GPU can do >144fps, I don't see the need for adaptive sync anyway.
amd value discussion here is IRRELEVANT now considering their crazy mark-ups to fuck over malaysian fanboys
on top of their EXPENSIVE zen 3 lineup and stock condition, it's really hard to see them positively when so many people in the community are cheering them up as the white knight while they themselves are acting as the burglars and scalpers themselves officially lmao
the same applies to their gpu too but thankfully radeon still has practically zero lead so the fanboys can shut themselves up abit
tho Intel better be bring something new to the table or amd fanboys cant shut up for another year again arhhhhhh
Ryzen 1000 and 2000 series gain supporters due to their good performance with low price vs intel jacked up price and gimped CPU. How many years we only can get 4 cores 4 treads unless willing to pay premium lmao
Now the roles are reversed, AMD jacking up price because intel can't compete. If this continue AMD going to start gimping their CPU. intel is no saint, they reduce price because can't take the heat.
Being fucked up by these companies (and AIB in case of GPU) are bad enough but being defended by stupid and delusional fanboys just make it worse.
another good rumor is that the rocket lakes seemed to gonna be cheaper? like close to $300 and $400 for the i7 and i9
I don't think possible. $400 for i7 still could be but slim chance. Worldwide shipping issue will cause everything to be jacked up up price. 2021 gonna be expensive year.
