Damn, I bought my 5700 XT a year ago and now my card just become obsolete

This might be the first time of me jumping ship to nVidia... the prices are just too hard to resist

I wonder will AMD cut their 5700 XT prices, considering the RTX3070 is just $100 more, and is a much faster card to begin with

Looks like AMD has a very high bar to set with their RDNA 2 GPUs... hopefully we can see some serious competition in the GPU space in the future (something that has been absent for years)

Yup, this will mean AMD has to price their cards very aggressively and hopefully their launch drivers are much better than their first gen Navis

Also, interestingly there's no RTX3080 Ti (for now), so that means they are likely to reserve it for the flagship RDNA2 GPUs

That's a Titan-class card, so it is kinda expected

IMHO, the RDNA 2 GPUs are known to be quite a bit of a powerhouse (i.e. the one in the PS5/XSX are already on par with a 5700XT/2080 Super in terms of raw performance), but the problem for Big Navi is really not about the raw performance (they certain can match Ampere in terms of raw performance), but whether they can compete with Ampere from a feature set perspective - and that was the tricky part

RTX and DLSS have proven to be no longer a gimmick, due to nVidia's improvement to these features and now they are a very desirable and sometimes essential to next-gen gaming

The leaker who also accurately predicted Ampere also seems to hint that Big Navi would be quite powerful, but whether Big Navi will have a feature set similar and competitive to nVidia's RTX/DLSS however is an entirely different story altogether
