I know but it actually draws more things as you see more.

You go benchmark 3440x1440 on certain games already similar performance as in 3840x2160.
*
You're right, I've never really thought about this until you guys showed the performance numbers to compare.

And ultrawide, especially a 3 screen setup will let you see a wider FOV compared to a 16:9 4k.
So the GPU have to render the scene on the far left and right which otherwise isn't rendered if using a 4k monitor.
It is like playing with the FOV slider - a narrow FOV will definitely boost performance.

when i touch the case can feel the vibration abit, i think anything with a fan spinning fan can do that, but the problem is the sound. i use wh-1000xm3 with noise cancelling when gaming, and somehow the headphones only cancel the noise EXCEPT that specific hum...so when the game is quiet i can like hear the humming really clearly, it's quite annoying for me
*
If the ANC isn't ON, will the hum be less annoying after being mix with the other fan noise? I'm really curious of what frequency is that... maybe can use Spectroid app on Android to tell. I use an open-back can for gaming, even if I have the XM3...

QUOTE(kaish529 @ Dec 7 2020, 07:29 PM)
great, now that i listen to it in a quiet environment i can also hear it slightly without headphones already... it's like the sound has 2 component, the air sound like fsssshhhhhh and the humming sound vrmmmmmmm, i suspect the hum is from the motor. maybe all fans will be like that, but because this card cooler so weak the fans spin faster than usual
*
The fan looks the same 11 blades on 3080 Trinity, and definitely same on the 3070 Twin Edge. You're the first guy who notice the noise so not so sure it is supposed to sound like that. I know the Noctuas doesn't sound like that but they do spin at much slower speed compared to smaller GPU fans.

There is one more test you can do - test the 2 fans independently. You do need to install Zotac FireStorm "bloatware" which I'm not sure it is a good idea or not.

QUOTE(kaish529 @ Dec 7 2020, 08:43 PM)
i tested and both fans have the same sound. maybe it is more noticeable because the ones on the 3060ti spins much faster? techpowerup mentioned the trinity fans only make 32dBA noise, this 3060ti reaches 44

EDIT: yup it is only noticeable at higher speeds starting around 70%, and it comes in pulses so i really believe it is the motor noise
*
I'm not expert in fan, but yeah, probably some ball bearing design.

The Trinity fans only make 32dBA because slower speed. 3x fan plus a bigger heat sink, the fans don't need to work as hard.

Bonchi lol, I think we can count the people in the forum who deshroud with our fingers... he's not even using sffpc case

guess what, i actually kinda solved the problem. i can only hear the sound at very close distance, so when i move my case abit further like 10cm then mostly don't hear it anymore
*
sound like something resonance with the fan lol. Great that you fixed it!

I haven't picked up 2077, but looking at the game from LTT video, I say it's fine. If you want to know what bad FPS looks like, head over to MS Flight Sim.

FE cards? who cares, can't officially get them in this part of the planet anyway. Let LTT, Jays, Bitwit and Hardware Canucks review those...

I think during this time, it is where consumer play a role. If consumer are not happy with bundle rig then just don't get bundle rig from those seller. Only when they cannot sell it that way, then only they will stop force people to buy the whole rig.
*
Ditto! I also think it's just excuse saying not enough for full rig. They're just greedy and opportunistic, that's all. If they're honest seller, they'll just give first come first serve, rig or standalone.

Launch date review is a thing if there are stock to buy everywhere. Now that it's difficult to get hold of new GPU and CPU... it's okay they can't get their review out on launch day.

I'm sure AIB partners will still send HWUB review samples of Nvidia powered GPU. I like their cost per frame charts based on 18 games average. Can easily pluck their data and use Malaysia MSRP to get our own cost per frame, which look different.

I'm glad there are different viewpoints of the subject matter because it'll be very boring if everyone says the same thing in the review, according to Jen Hsun's script.

I've yet to try FreeSync or Gsync compatible but I think they remove screen tearing as good as the real deal Gsync... unless FPS drops out of FreeSync adaptive range (some as high as 48fps)

Another feature I come to appreciate after owning a Gsync monitor for some time is variable overdrive.

Just hope they got a solution for FPS above monitor max refresh rate in the future. Currently Vsync will kick in and will affect input lag. Honestly, if your GPU can do >144fps, I don't see the need for adaptive sync anyway.

Have you tried using these settings?
https://blurbusters.com/gsync/gsync101-inpu...nd-settings/14/

I'm using it and found no more screen tearing.
*
No because it isn't a problem for me as I don't play Valorant/CSGO/R6S. I can't hit my monitor refresh rate for the games I do play doh.gif

QUOTE(bobowyc @ Dec 20 2020, 11:13 PM)
So guys, im in need of help. I recently updated my gpu to the latest driver via geforce experience. So after the update, im having issues now randomly with my gtx 1080ti. WHen i start CSGO, in MSI afterburner my memory clock remains at 400Mhz, and that makes CSGO run at 30fps. And before that, i set my resolution in CSGO from Fullscreen to Fullscreen windowed. Seconds later I get a black screen and pink screen, im running 2 monitors. one get black screen, the other get pink screen. So how do I solve this issue? lol
*
I’m using 1080Ti and trusting blindly on reddit using an old driver from early 2020 - version 456.98. I am not playing CP2077 so I don’t need latest driver.

Or you can just revert to the previous version.

QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Dec 21 2020, 12:30 AM)
Did another repaste of the 3080 Holo with NT-H1 (no Kryonaut spare to use), put my GT-1850s in exhaust. The GPU core runs a few degrees hotter overall, maybe Zotac does use some good paste that's better than the NT-H1, but I didn't check temps again with the stock fans.
*
I’m using the same case, CPU + side on intake, GPU on exhaust. Works for me, but my GPU isn’t anywhere near as powerful as your 3080.

I like Hardware Unboxed monitor and GPU reviews. Nice response time charts, and price/performance chart. Also got numbers for Flight Sim which I play.

I like some Gamer Nexus video, the one comparing OC'd 5600X and i5-10600K is quite interesting.

However I am not a high end PC enthusiast like some of you here, definitely don't OC CPU and RAM to their limit. so I don't really care about their reviews covering high end CPU GPU. Still, nice to know a lot of stuff.

hope they come out with explanation why they don't make cheaper TUF non-OC anymore, other than just look good on launch day review.

wow so many issue with new CPU.

On my 2700X + X470, no issue with:
- Realtek ACL1220 audio device, enjoyed Equalizer APO + HeSuVi virtualization with it for gaming. I don't hear interference when gaming.
- LAN (Intel i211) transfer full speed to my NAS
- M.2 PCIE SSD works fine. 2nd M.2 PCIE also works, but not using it as it'll downgrade GPU PCIE to x8.
- USB hub on the monitor works fine, it is picky of USB cable.

Can't wait to see what problem will surface when I pop in a 5600X.
