Hi there fellow lowyat users!
I am currently using a Maxis Fibre 30mbps. My modem is set up in the storeroom at 1st floor of my house, and I hardly get stable wifi in my room up on the second floor. I'm getting 5 mbps on average, with occasional disconnections on a daily basis.
I am considering to buy a better router for better range and speed.
I am considering NETGEAR R6700 Nighthawk AC1750 Smart Dual Band WiFi Router (R6700). It’s quite popular overseas but I’m just concerned that it might not work in Malaysia. Should I be concern of anything?
Do kindly let me know if you have better suggestions on other routers!
You guys rock. please help a brother out.
(I have attached my current set up).
why not consider a homeplug/powerline adaptor from either Aztech or TP Link? I am currently using a Maxis Fibre 30mbps. Unit A will be at your 1st floor where your modem+router is, unit B will be at your 2nd floor.
No doubt Aztech don't have Wifi Option, if you buy the TP Link version with a wifi access point, that may work out better
