Any one have used 3M and HO before? I'm currently using 3M crystalline CR40 for all my except CR50 on front.. For my new car thinking of HO C30 on windows and C40 for front.. Will the heat rejection same as Crystalline? Or should I stick with 3M

i m planning to use HO C30 all round for honda city 2018.
only 1 or 2 thing holding me back;
1. might be too dark and doesnt pass JPJ's criteria
2. night light might be bad for Front Wind screen causing bad visibility
any advice?

Currently surveying these 2 brands. 3M or Huper Optik film is smart tag friendly? Without the need to cut holes, etc..

Want to tint my mum's old car. Don't want her to get stuck at the smart tag lane.

My own car is using Raytech RX now. But I feel the heat rejection is bad.

You try to get a small sample put over your smart tag and go through tolls and see if it blocks the reading.
If can pass, then proceed with that film. If fails, then look for other brand/series.
If you have auto gate, try that remote control too.

never try 3m before, cannot advice much. Just tinted my car with HO for below spec, so far no issue on smart tag, GPS signal or card entrance scanning system (apartment guard house)

FWS: Ceramic 70
side: shield 40 6mil
RWS: Ceramic 30 + original Skytink (not sure the spec for skytint, my car is CX5)

Mine also CX5, tinted 3M CR60, GPS no problem, BUT smart tag failed. Drive slow (failed), Smart tag touch on windscreen corner side (failed), Change new battery (failed)

End up I open a hole, ugly but I live with it, and it reminds me I made a mistake bruce.gif
If you really want, you can ask them open a hole on top of the windscreen and put the dark visor stipe, and you wont notice it anymore.

I can vouch for ho as well. A very happy user. My last experience with another brand was very dissapointing.

Like others I won't go for other brand anymore. Doesn't pay to be adventoruous. Wasted 3k on a so called branded tint based on paper spec.

What is the branded tint 3k?
