If you get the s9 you can use samsung pay and you can register for the samsung members app too. every now and then you get some free stuff from the app. its pretty nice.

QUOTE(fansoption @ Mar 16 2018, 10:46 AM) Samsung phones have very very very very very very very slow updates. Not sure about huawei but mate 9 is already running on Oreo so the newer device should as well.Comparatively, samsung s7e which came out around the same time as Mate 9 is still running on Nougat. Supposed to get Oreo at the end of March but after this many years with Samsung, I can safely say their predicted timelines are never once spot on. QUOTE(fansoption @ Mar 16 2018, 03:47 PM) I am not one who cares too much about the updates so I'll get the Samsung. Also a big plus to me is the Samsung Pay and Samsung Members app for their phones.I really like getting free stuff so yeah, thats a big plus for me. Also the camera is pretty good, compared to all the camera's I've used before, my S7E camera has been one of the most satisfying. If you're not too big on the updates, I think Samsung's flagships would trounce the Huawei competitors. I would have changed to the S9 if it weren't so damn expensive. Also since S9 comes with Oreo from the get go, it supports Google's Project Trebel, which promises more frequent updates as the firmware and the manufacturer's software are stored on 2 different partitions. This has yet to be proven but time will tell. On paper, the S9 pretty much trashes the Mate 10/Pro on almost every hardware aspect, except for the camera. Also I guess its pretty nice to still get the microphone jack on the S9 series. My vote still goes to Samsung. |
