Hi, me and and wife planning to have some good time in Pangkor
Can you recommend me what to do there?.
Just some kind of light and budget holiday only for 2 days.
Is it a good idea to rent car there or just get a motorbike?

My parents stayed at Pangkor Sandy beach last year and enjoyed it very much.
I stayed at the more budget friendly Waterfall beach resort a few years back and enjoyed it too.

Renting a moto is very much enough. The island is tiny.

Similar to yours TS, end of this coming school holidays I am planning to go to Pangkor as well. Some of my Perakian friends recommend me to stay in Lumut area, Pangkor island can be reach anytime, night activities such as makan2 is limited on the island. I've booked the apartment in Marina Island Pangkor Resort and Hotel for my family, day event shall be visiting the island as the jetty is just behind the resort itself.

Cars are rare in Pangkor island because of the narrow roads so a motorcycle would be a better idea. Visit Sg Pinang Kecil (fishing village) where you can buy seafood as souvenirs. If you like walking/running, you can easily cover the island on foot within 2 hours. Another thing unique about Pangkor is the nasi lemak. It is different from other regions in Malaysia. The laksa is also something you should try as it's unique too. One of the most delicious food items is perut ikan. It is normally served with white rice.

Teluk Dalam has a clean beach so if you want to be where it's less crowded, head there for a day of relaxation. If you are staying at Sg Pinang Besar, there are a lot of touristy shops to visit. Personally, I don't like Sg Pinang Besar but it has its pros such as easy access to water sports and other amenities. I love the breakfast at Seaview, an accommodation right in front of the beach. Otherwise, you can also stay in a chalet.

Hope this helps. Have a good trip!
