Unai Emery. Now that is a proper manager at least. Not the best but definitely him over Arteta any time.

Fingers crossed it’s Emery instead of Arteta.

Lolll @ Karius.

Hence why a world class keeper is important. I can see the same happening to us if we get anywhere near a cup final with Cech in goal. Sadly he just can't cut it anymore and is barely half the keeper he was during his Chelsea days.

Btw you need a freaking eye checkup if you thought Ramos cheated and injured Salah on purpose. Salah was the one who hooked Ramos down and hauled him down together when Ramos challenged for the ball but unfortunately it was Salah who fell awkwardly on his shoulder. It was self inflicted. Watch the replay again, bloody clear as day.

100 million egyptian didnt think the same as u on Ramos lul

My first thought was the same just accident and awkward fall

Then when Salah started crying, i knew its the end of Liverpool

my liverpool friend would disagree with you

he posted back2back fb post on how ramos is a fucking scumbag for ruining the game
*
Ramos is certainly a dirty player, but in that incident Ramos had every right to challenge for the ball and it was Salah who locked/grabbed or whatever you call it, Ramos' arm in the first place which resulted in both players falling.

The ref made a very good decision to let the game continue as IMO it wasn't a foul by either player. It was a genuine contest for the ball between two players and it was just bad luck Salah fell the way he did.

Either way, cukup la about Salah and Liverpool, their fans and the Egyptians can continue to live in denial for all I care. We have a World Cup and after that a new Arsenal (hopefully) to look forward to.

No one has the final say. It has to be an agreement between both Mislintat and Emery. No transfer can go ahead without both giving the green light.

To be honest I don't like this. I agree the Manager should not have total control but for transfers, the manager needs to have the final say. This way, he can sign the players he wants and needs to build the team as how he envisions it.

I would rather Mislintat play the role of how David Dein was to Arsene before.

But we will see how this pans out.

Don't see the point in this Adli signing.

He may develop into a world class player at Arsenal and if he does, he will either leave for peanuts with 1 year remaining on his contract or wait till his contract ends and leaves on a free.

Mahrez? lol

Quality player but we already have a player who puts on an invisibility cloak during big games. Don't need another.

When I read this I couldn’t help but laugh. Pool just did an Arsenal in the transfer market lmao.

“Numerous reports claim Liverpool tried to lower the price of the deal after Fekir's medical left club chiefs with concerns over a previous knee injury suffered in 2015.”

But knowing Lyon and how they were when we signed Laca last year, this might still go through.

I for one hope we don’t get Gelson Martins, if we need to spend money for him. Even in YouTube videos he looks like a Gervinho 2.0 lmao.

At 30 mill no thank you. If free according to reports then its fine.

Leno signing is god damn welcomed.

I've had enough of Cech and Ospina.

Unai is strengthening the right areas. Doing a great job so far, although this is hardly praise he can be proud of since even a blind man can see where we are weak at.

Goes to show how oblivious Wenger has been for the last decade. Either he was being ignorant or completely clueless.

Can’t say so la. If last season didn’t get laca & auba, we still have serious issue on attacking.
*
Jeez you are either just as ignorant or as clueless as Wenger.

So attack is the "serious issue" here when a team ends up shipping in 51 goals in the league in a single season and solving a "serious" issue in attack in a season is enough to right all the silly and costly goals conceded over a decade of poor defending due to shitty defenders, shitty goalkeepers and a poor defensive setup.

Alrighty then.

Watched Lichsteiner vs Brazil and been pretty impressed.

Looks mighty fit and pretty quick still for a 34 year old.

Worked his bloody socks off and most importantly led by example with his work rate, determination and grit.

Should start ahead of Bellerin next season.

Asked about Torreira’s future, Sampdoria chief Ferrero told TMW: ‘Torreira has left for €30million, I bought him from Pescara when nobody believed in him. ‘We took a gamble on him and we won, paying just €3million. ‘The money that comes in will be used to capitalise the company.’

Looks like the Sampdoria president has basically let the cat out of the bag in one of his recent interviews regarding Torreira.

Guess he is practically an Arsenal player already bar something out of the ordinary happening, like doing a Fekir.

Banega would be a decent addition to our midfield depth.

The further Elneny is from the first team the better.

Sorry to say he is one of the worst CMs ever to don an Arsenal shirt. As bad as Denilson.

Miki, Auba and Sokratis are all 29/30 already.

They are great players and fantastic signings but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that they probably only have at most, a few more of their best years left.

More like these are from the only pool of players we can afford. Either that or youth. We are never going to be able to compete and pay for the 24-27 year old superstar outfield players.

Right move or not there is no choice given our “bottom half” team budget.

But I won’t deny Unai has bought well and is doing a fantastic job strengthening areas that are needed to be strengtened.

not unai la since he is head coach only.

Please get your facts right.

As head of recruitment Mislintat has a huge say in transfer targets, but he is not the sole decision maker nor can he be. In fact no one is the sole decision maker.

Whether we sign a player or not still depends on a collective agreement between Mislintat and Unai, and to a certain extent Huss Fahmy. If Mislintat identifies a player and Unai doesn't think he fits or we don't need him Unai can still say no and we won't sign that player. Similarly if Unai wants a player but Mislintat does not agree, we will not sign that player either.

We can give Mislintat credit for identifying the players we have signed and future signings but at the end of the day Unai still has to say "Yes". Unai has as much authority over transfers as Mislintat has.

But being the head coach, I expect Unai to be more familiar with the team's weaknesses and how he envisions the team should play, hence the person who has the bigger influence here as he is responsible and accountable to how the team performs.

Anyway Ivan Gazidis gave a detailed interview on how Arsenal's new transfer policy and structure works not too long ago. You can read all about it here.
