Using it as 27.5+ first. Transfer all the parts from current frame. Put chunkier tire 2.6 or 2.8. . Currently fork 160mm. Do i need to lower down to 150mm match spec sheet stated?

In any case, rule of thumb is that its ok to go 10mm more fork travel without messing up the geometry too much. Anything more is really up to you. Putting longer forks than recommended will usually make HTA slacker but BB higher. Climbing could be a bit harder. |

Hey guys, want to ask any vendor in malaysia that sell parts support for Giant Trance rear pivot bearing for 06 models or any tech support that can give out pivot bearing spec? Mine started to sound very rough and wiggly. Here photo of my bike Giant Trance '06 model below, old but rare...hehehe.. Not planning to go out 27 or 29'er yet because i still love it because its a fast climber.

If you know the size of the bearings, you can buy them and go to almost any local shop to get it replaced. Most shops can also help you figure out the size of the bearings, help you order them and replace it for you for a price. Popular MTB shops like KSH, GH bikes, Specialized PJ, etc all should be able to do this.Photos: |

Thanks for some advice, yesterday when to LBS have contacted with Giant agent to check the pivot. The bearing need replacement which i brought to SKF bearing shop for quick replacement....i bought steel bearing for long term durability instead of ceramic. But the upper lingkage steel bushing near Fox Float-R eyelet worn out which i need special order outside malaysia cos mine are very old model. Today ride no more crusty bearing sound but vertically shaky a bit due to worn out bushing until my parts order arrive.
