Sorry, I asked a vague question earlier.
Does HSDPA on N95 works for you? What telco are you using? Any extra settings other than enable the HSDPA in packet connection and 3G internet settings? The problem is that my N95 does not work well with HSDPA. It doesn't receive anymore packets after 30 seconds of connection or after loading about 260kb of data. The webpage just stopped there. Nokia Care Centre said it is Celcom's fault, so I just want to make sure if any of you guys are actually using it (HSDPA) on N95 without any problem. Btw, I'm a celcom corporate user with unlimited data package. Thx. This post has been edited by animegod: Apr 16 2007, 09:48 AM |

Must be my phone then. I'm tired of going to the service centre and explain it all over again.
Anyway, mind to tell us the location where HSDPA is available? |

I'm going to exchange my N95 to a new set. Do you think that Zitron would allow that? Been using it like 2 weeks now.
Does anyone had experienced in exchanging phone to new unit before? Most probably they'll just offer to repair the phone. Hmm.. I'm sure it's going to be a long wait with reasons like posting to Finland and so on.... Anyone had a better solution? This post has been edited by animegod: Apr 16 2007, 04:56 PM |

Lets just forget about Beyblade. Anyway, the Nokia SC said there will be a firmware update very soon. I believe it'll fix most of the bugs we currently experienced.
And like smashpOp said, the video quality is really good. N93 is still better of course, but in static image quality, N95 is the best. |

Dont worry, the battle is over. No point fighting with a kid who doesn't understand a word.
Anyway, I dont think N95 GPS can support 3rd party application yet. Tom Tom and route66 are few good GPS applications. You can try, but I dont think it'll work. This post has been edited by animegod: Apr 17 2007, 03:35 PM |

QUOTE(schizophrenic @ Apr 17 2007, 03:39 PM) Thanx. I went to the shop and they tried loggin in for me but sadly I cannot view what I wanted. The main login page is fine but I cannot view the one after logging in. You can try 3rd party application like Opera. Some pages Opera can open well, while the built in browser doesn't and vice versa.Sigh...having mixed feelings about getting it. But if you need a file manager to download goodies, then it has to be Opera. |

QUOTE(schizophrenic @ Apr 17 2007, 04:17 PM) The guy at the shop said that I would most unlikely able to view it. reason being that I require a 3rd party engine for it (eg:Java Runtime Environment). The result is a success. I'm using the built in browser to view it. BTW, it's only javascript on the page which N95 is more than capable to handle.Any advice on this? You might need a fast connection like 3G/HSDPA or Wifi to view it coz it loads very slow. *Edit : Cant view page in Java Environment. This post has been edited by animegod: Apr 17 2007, 05:26 PM |

QUOTE(kenso77 @ Apr 18 2007, 08:44 AM) Sorry, when I said CS, I meant Customer Service, not CSL. Anyways, I called the bank again and verified that it is indeed an original unit from Dynamic Multimedia offering at RM120.33 x 24 months interest free. That comes to RM2,887.92 for an original. Does anyone have any dealings with this company before? I think that wouldn't be a problem. As long as you have the Zitron/Avaxx and Nokia hologram on your battery, a sirim sticker at the back of the phone (near the simcard slot), another Zitron/Avaxx sticker at the back of your slider and a Zitron/Avaxx warranty card, then it'll all be ok.Besides, Nokia Care Centre would look into the stickers on your phone instead of your warranty card. So go and get it. |

QUOTE(kenso77 @ Apr 18 2007, 09:04 AM) Question: I plugged a 3.5mm headphone to the phone about 2 days ago and after removing the headphone, the phone could not use its normal microphone. That means the user can only hear what ppl r saying from the other line but the other person could not hear her reply. The problem was finally rectified when we re-plug the headset back onto the phone and manually activate the handset setting. What I`m puzzled is that: About the headphone bug, I'm sure it'll be fixed sooner or later by firmware update.1) the phone could not automatically revert back to handset setting after removing the headphones? 2) no settings in the handset to manually reconfigure the settings back to handset mode? My colleague is now damn pissed at me for plugging the headphones to her phone and inadvertantly screwing up the settings & has refused to let me even touch her phone. I could no longer investigate the reason for this. If the headset really does change the setting PERMANENTLY until replugged again, then this phone is truly not user friendly. What if u`re in a rush and accidentally left ur headset home or something, then u`re screwed for the whole day. Anyone can verify? Added on April 18, 2007, 9:08 am Problem is, card holders cannot physically check or collect the phones once confirmed so no way to verify the authenticity of the phones visually. It`s a weird policy but that`s how they intend to do this installment free thingy so have to take their word for it. As for the new phone, if it's not from Zitron or Avaxx, just return it and cancel the installment plan. If they refused, file a lawsuit if you have to This post has been edited by animegod: Apr 18 2007, 09:48 AM |

Guys, I'm still having problem with HSDPA on my N95.
Maxis can support HSDPA too right? Have anyone tested it out. Might change to Maxis if it works (I'm currently on Celcom Powertools). I'm going to Nokia Care Centre again after work to service my phone. Hopefully, there's a solution to the HSDPA thing. And hopefully it's celcom's fault (As claimed by Nokia) so I can still connect to HSDPA on Maxis. |

QUOTE(schizophrenic @ Apr 19 2007, 10:35 AM) After connecting to the Internet with your N95, check your bandwidth here : Click HereIf you get above 384kbps in average (have to test few times for accurate result), then you're on HSDPA. Mine can reach 1MBPS but after a while will stuck (No gateway reply). This post has been edited by animegod: Apr 19 2007, 03:20 PM |

The GPS is working fine. Just make sure you're outdoor.
Press Menu, then open the GPS application. You'll notice a msg "waiting/connecting to GPS", not sure the msg coz my phone not with me right now. Then just wait. In my place, it takes 15 minutes till the GPS can locate my location. Then save your location. After this, the GPS will locate you much faster. The first time is always slower. |

You can format your phone memory if you feel like the phone's getting slower or there's alot of corrupted file messages.

Anyone tried live TV streaming before?
Get it at Vimio Live Tv Just choose download->software. Then select N80 in phone type as that is the largest screen size available right now. They'll email you the software. Well, few channels available like CNN, Fashion Tv and so on. Tried with Edge and 3G. Works really well Unfortunately, no ESPN and Supersport. But it's a good start.. |
