n95 firmware can update thru software that i can download at nokia support website rite?? is it safe?? wut do it do??? sorry if asking noob questions...

After I've upgraded my firmware, do I need to download Malaysia map again?

Yes. It is safe. You need to download NSU (Nokia Software Update) from their website and you're good to go..

EDIT : Remember to back up your files and sync your phone before proceed with the update

do i need internet connection???

when i slide my phone back to it's position it won't disconnect the phone call... and also it won't return back to the main screen. is that normal?

Also, n73 when standby mode it will blink teh blue light does n95 got the same function?

But err, my current location is blank...this is due to the fact that gps is not connected or the fact that i dont' have the map?

I can't seem to get my GPS to work..

Mine couldn't connect as fast as you guys mentioned.

Anybody know what's wrong with it?

I'm using Maps.

EDIT : Btw, I've followed the instruction as said in 1st page. But I've only managed to get 2 ~ 3 bars only. Even if I do get 4 bars, it wouldn't show my exact position. Do I have to wait for the bars to be blacken or something? What did I do wrong? 

In Asia Map, I 'Connect to GPS' after that, it mentioned 'GPS signal unavailable' . How now? Disconnect and reconnect again?

That's strange. Previous slider phones I have from Nokia always disconnect the call when the slide is pushed back into it's standby position. Just wondering, does this apply to answering also? As in, is it possible to answer an incoming call by sliding the slider up?

My best friend's brother (16 year old) this year owns N95. He was telling his sister, N95 is better than iPhone. And, the sister asked me for opinions. I'll say N95 is better because iPhone still can't be used in Malaysia so still don't know its powerful side.

Everytime I look into this phone, it will reflect my envious out. Such a sophisticated phone.

whee i got 2 n95 now .. another surprise from my mom.. btw my 3 days old avaxx has got some scratches on it now coz i accidentally put my keys in the same pocket.. is there anything i can do to the phone to make avaxx give me a brand new set ? like making the phone faulty or something.. coz its only 3 days old i believe they would do it... i wanna change a new one so i could sell it at a higher price

Guys, I've been wanting to get an n95 since i heard it was announced by nokia.. it was love at first sight 

but arr, if you go to the garage sales there n see.. there is qute a number of ppl selling off their n95s. Original AND ap products..    it feels tht theres some underlying problems that i dunno about   

so i want to ask.. are you guys having any slightest complaints bout your n95? i want an n95, but i dont want to spend 2.6k to find out it really sux in the end    pls say its WAAAYYYY better than my n80 

wta, is there lag problem with n95 if i was to store 100 plus 5 mp pictures, when i open gallery to view them, cos with my n80 its very lag when there is lots of pics in it.

thats cause the n80 using a 352*416 rez screen as aoopose to the standard 320*240 wan ...

Which means this phone doesn't support 3G for our country ~2100Mhz network.

But this phone is really nice. Even the multimedia button has changed. No more flat buttons 

Man, they came out with a redesigned N95?? Top of that, they also gave it a stronger battery?!! And it won't work here?!! dang...What are the possibilities we can stick that new battery into our current existing N95s?
