Nokia N95 Wins TIPA Award

Nokia today revealed the Nokia N95 multimedia computer has been voted the 'Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe 2007' by TIPA (Technical Image Press Association), the largest photo and imaging press association in Europe.

"A small mobile wonder and a camera as well," the Nokia N95 multimedia computer was commended for its outstanding imaging functionality, comparing its features directly with those of stand-alone cameras. The judging panel noted features such as the autofocus lens for sharp, large prints, a real
mechanical shutter to avoid distortion, the Carl Zeiss optics with Tessar lens that can focus at close range and the up to 20x digital zoom for distant subjects. The panel also commented on the device's outstanding audio, video and web capabilities and its GPS functionality.

*

Added on April 25, 2007, 9:28 amit should be compatible with 3g push email eg; maxis's EMO Push Email compared with blackberry's push email.

QUOTE(smashpOp @ Apr 25 2007, 09:58 AM)
actually whats the purpose for us to make bar codes?
*
based on what i read, it is meant for us to put at our site

but following the earlier discussion, we were trying to determine if the bar code reader works.

following the code generated by this website, it is safe to conclude that it does work. The question then is on what barcode format.

Blackberry is just another POP3 account setting ... if u`re already running a POP3 acc (ie xxx@streamyx.com), I wonder if it`s possible to configure the phone to receive my other email account.
*
thought push email does not follow the conventional routing system like pop3 does which is also known as a pull email where you connect to the server to pull emails from there.

I notice the function where you can set N95 to automatically retrieve emails so why go for push email when we can set the phone to retrieve email from pop3 servers automatically?

Also I think you'll be able to add more than 1 email account and select which is the active account.

it seems that someone found a solution for the loose slider but the drawback is....if you DIY, it will void your warranty.

smile.gif At least we now know the reason for the slider being loose.

Is anyone here experiencing muffled sound through the phone's speakers when their stereo widening is set to ON when listening at a high volume?

There is no problem when the Stereo Widening is turned off but it becomes apparent when it is ON.

Also, anyone else having trouble with widsets these few days? eg: lagging or not showing all your widgets. Mine is version 0.99.
Thanx.

I rarely take my phone out from its leather case. LOL

I leave it in my slacks most of the time I am out unless I am using GPS then I'll leave it on my phone holder in my car.

                  gps map

i have a bad experiece wif nokia 9500 msn problem...the software i download vy not stable..how bout n95?
*
I was considering dopod 838 pro before n95.

actually considering it since 2006. haha

Overall I am very satisfied with N95 but with your 2nd requirement......it might be a problem due to the short battery life.

GPS...you can get Dopod and pair it with a compatible GPS receiver.

N95, you'll get it built in.

I never tried using msn for more than 1 hour on my N95.
I'm using agile messenger

If I have the choice to go for 838 Pro or N95 I'll still go for N95.
smile.gif

I'll have to admit that having a touch screen is really an added advantage as it helps a lot in emails and sms-es. smile.gif

Nevertheless, I find the n95 to serve my need as a compact mobile with all the basic essentials I'm looking for in an electronic gadget.

Guys, who's going to benchmark their n95.
My sp benchmark result 6727.

It' a freeware, no virus i've tested.
*
LOL I've got a 6724 on 1st test(with me pressing the keys as the screen went into power saving mode and 2nd test without interruption at 6916.

it caused my phone to restart twice. But after turning it Off and then On again, it works fine.
Probably due to some apps I used prior to this benchmark or due to me receiving sms while running the benchmark.
