can anyone tell me whats the most common problem for n95 that would make the distributor replace a new unit for you willingly? mine is only 3 days old lol i think they wouldnt mind to replace a new unit for me ... i need a good excuse.. i cant tell them hey i want to sell my phone at a higher price and it has some minor scratches so itd be great if you could replace a new unit for me

Just bring along the whole set without the phone. Tell them, "you gave me everything except for the phone"

They will not replace but give you a extra new phone

Looks like different fonts are being used in both pictures. So you will have to change your phone's fonts manually. How to do this? Google it.

But be warned: this process-while easy-is not without risks. If you mess up your phone, don't blame anyone but yourself.


Normally I wouldn't encourage anyone to do what you're planning. The scratches are entirely your fault and yet you want a free replacement. *sigh* youngsters these days...

Anyway, if the scratches aren't very big or obvious, you could just say that your mum bought it without checking the phone properly. You know, as in: old folks not tech savvy, too trusting, too much money, etc. Don't know whether this will hold water, though. It's not like Avaxx staff were born yesterday.

Another alternative is to replace the housing. Shouldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks, right? This is what I would do. No lying. No deception. Clear conscience. Good karma. Or just settle for a lower price.

Actually I Know The Way To Change Font.. In Fact I Have Successfully Changed It Before.. But My Question Is What Font Type Is The Thinner One...? I Have Tried A Few Fonts And It Still Remain Thick.. And My Font Size Is Set To Small.

changed my firmware to v12 already... so far im lovin it... no problems, tried using GPS inside and outside and it works really great... battery life span longer, saw the 3.5G when using packet data, the sound gets louder than before, camera good just didnt really understand with the white line thing that u guys experiencing... thats about it... N95 is da bomb!!!

Well since you've already tried a few fonts without success, I guess the trick now would be to use the "Light" weight instead of "Regular/Medium/Roman".

If you're not too fussy about matching the font exactly (per your sample pics), then just choose a typeface like Myriad Pro, Universe or Frutiger which carry a complete set of weights (e.g., Light, Regular, Medium, Italic, Bold, Semibold, Black, etc). Try to get the PC/Windows truetype (.ttf) version of these fonts. I can't help much because I'm using a Mac.

Obviously, it will be a case of trial and error until you find a font that you're happy with.

Guys, I've been wanting to get an n95 since i heard it was announced by nokia.. it was love at first sight

but arr, if you go to the garage sales there n see.. there is qute a number of ppl selling off their n95s. Original AND ap products.. it feels tht theres some underlying problems that i dunno about

so i want to ask.. are you guys having any slightest complaints bout your n95? i want an n95, but i dont want to spend 2.6k to find out it really sux in the end pls say its WAAAYYYY better than my n80

Yes, its WAAAYYYY better than your n80. People are selling them off mainly because they're gadget freaks who like to try out new things, not because it has problems or what's not

there is no any products offer u a swap becoz of cosmetic problem....


in most of term.. N95 are WAAAAAAAyy.. better than N80.. but N80's screen are wayyyyy better than N95.. except it is smaller.. N80 have >10k pixel/cm2 .. I think is the best in the market...
N95 only have 3k++pixel/cm2 screen... becoz 240x320 is the standard...

to go to the gallery are kind of slow.. very lag.. hmm.. u can try a faster card...

dont worry, if you wait another year, it will be close to rm 500. then it wont hurt so much if it really sux

thats cause the n80 using a 352*416 rez screen as aoopose to the standard 320*240 wan ...

one year at rm500?no way....price doesnt drop at that rate. way too drastic! nah...maybe u can get it at rm1k plus after a year.N73 has been around for quite a while and the ori set is still around rm1.4k!

People are selling their N95 mainly coz they are gadget freak who like to try new things - like me
secondly, the price makes some ppl to feel a bit burden where they can use that money for something else. So they sell it.

In 1 year, a high tech gadget like this will hardly decrease in price. Most probably it will reduce up to RM1500 for ORI set but not below that...


By the way, I heard that even ORI phones like Zitron don't provide pouch now. True?
I oni know AP some don't provide pouch but even Zitron? -Not sure abt Avaxx though

my avaxx set doesnt come with pouch too

and also the N80 are smaller than n95.. make the pixels density bloody high.. I think there is no other phone matching it pixel density..

maybe those coming phone with VGA resolution.?? ;;
