QUOTE(WaytoDawn @ Jul 27 2007, 04:42 PM) waytodawn-25/7/2007 RM3000, 2GB mem.card Oh ok. Didn't catch your first question. Hmm.... Need a hand here guys. Is there any way to differentiate between a Java application and a symbian application other than by looking at the installer itself? Java application installer will have a *.jar extension, like calculator.j2me . While a symbian installer usually ends with *.sis or *.sisx. Like calculator.sis or calculator.sisx. Anyone can add up a bit please. You said i may need to reinstall my java applications, what are listed under java applications? Sry for the stupid question. Not quite a tech guy... |

I'm using a software called Best Birthday. Got it at ipmart forum. Works like a charm.coming from d s40 background, i do feel weird of putting 1 birthdate in 2 places (calendar entry n contact entry)... does anybody have cheap if not free solution in syncing d birthdates between contacts n calendar? QUOTE(ViRaViRa @ Jul 28 2007, 10:35 PM) I tried too. Usually it will ask whether want to reinstall or not coz I already upgraded to V12 but this time no. Another new firmware coming up maybe? They removed V12 again from their server? |

QUOTE(oHkereD @ Jul 30 2007, 08:18 PM) Do you guys having problem on surfing web? while connecting throught WLAN? I think it is because of the connection, not the WiFi. Probably either you didn't setup the security settings or the connection is not available. Nothing wrong with the phone, it's the connection. It keeps saying "No gateway reply" can i be helped? QUOTE(WaytoDawn @ Jul 30 2007, 08:19 PM) Can the wireless router be linked using the USB port? And is it possible to log on to the internet using the phone without switching on the comp? I know i've been bombarding a lot of questions but i really do appreciate the help i receive from you guys. Thanks!! I think a wireless modem router can be hook up to a USB port. And of course you can use WiFi without switching on your PC. That's what i've been doing |

QUOTE(oHkereD @ Jul 30 2007, 10:32 PM) Don't you think this is much safer ? Yes, it is safer. But not very satisfying. What i did, the slider is also firmer. A bit tighter. I done the one in the video, felt almost the same. without the ngik..ngik.. sound only. When you use the one i use, it won't even move. So it vanish the source if the ngik..ngik.. sound completely It did almost the same thing, getting rid of that "ngik ngik" sound. |

Got the N95 two weeks ago and I really love this phone. Everything has been working perfectly up till now. 1) i have global race, but i dont have that problem. Plus i dont use the built in music player. The sound isn't so nice for the stereo speaker but cool with earphones. All of a sudden, the Music Player has gone bonkers. As soon as I try to launch the app, my phone will freeze for about 3-5 mins. After I press the mutlimedia or end key a few times, the phone restarts and I get the welcome message. This does not happen every time...it's intermittent. Maybe 2 out of 5 times. To be fair, I admit it's my fault because I installed 3 apps yesterday: MobiGenie, SpotOn, and Global Race. The first time the freeze happened was after I played Global Race. So I uninstalled both Global Race and SpotOn via App Manager. I don't think MobiGenie is suspect since it's used by lots of S60 users without issue. So, 2 questions: 1) Anyone else have Global Race (downloaded from Nokia site) on their N95 and NOT have problems? I would like to keep this game on my phone if possible. 2) What can I do to fix the Music Player freeze-ups? I already cleared phone memory *#7370# but maybe that's not enough? What else should I do? I'm new to Nokia and symbian phones, so any help you can give is appreciated. 2) What firmware are you using? Have upgraded yours to the latest FW? As mentioned, for the past two weeks, the phone has been problem-free. Only after installing the apps did it (Music Player) start freezing. But I might reconsider updating. Yup, the battery does get a bit warm. I think it's normal. You should try video call for 30 minutes, then your battery will be very2 warm Yes, good news for me! But I'd like to confirm one thing with you: when I played it for just 10 mins, the battery became very warm. Is it the same with your phone? If yes, then I can go ahead and re-install the game. Thanks for taking the time to post, plague. QUOTE(yewkhuay @ Jul 31 2007, 03:06 PM) but i really like the leather feel in E65, wonder if it would peel off after sometime... i would go for it. Hi guys...
Since there are so much questions regarding firmware, i've taken the initiative to check and see the availability of firmware in nokia's server. And to my surprise, they have removed FW 12.0.013 for the APAC product code (0534833: Apac 1, 0536085: Apac 1). Meaning that those who got the same product code as me, won't be able to upgrade their FW at the moment (tho i have upgraded mine at the time when that FW is available on the server Here are some useful site on how to change your product code: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uN9eRlddfH0 http://mobilexpert.wordpress.com/2007/07/0...n-nokia-phones/ 12.0.013 Change log » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « WARNING: CHANGING PRODUCT CODE MIGHT VOID YOUR WARRANTY!
