Speaker quality is good, as it is a stereo speaker.

One question wanna ask, as i was playing around with my phone, suddenly the back light become brighter. Is it something to do with the power saver function? I have set it to 1 mins.

It's called Ambient Light Sensor.

not only that , Nokia 95 also comes with Orientation Sensor . Kinda old news to some but new to me . When u take pic whether in portrait or landscape , the next time u see in gallery , both picture will be shown with the orientation adjusted based on your viewing mode.

you mean this?

QUOTE
One of the more interesting aspects of the camera is the built-in orientation sensor that allows the user to take landscape or portrait mode photos just by holding the N95 horizontally or vertically - no menu access required. It is not fool proof, however. Sometimes the orientation sensor appears to get stuck in the default landscape mode, and there is no way to tell if it is working or not since the settings icons remain on the same edge of the display regardless of the orientation

Guys, keep the thread peaceful. Backup your argument with good reasoning if some bad comment is given and lead/show him/her to the advantages of the phone, not simply say 'don't buy la, get off la etc etc'. Nothing is perfect, no matter how expensive or high-tech it is, so be ready and accept it if there is flaw.

I see this phone is a great phone, I myself considering to get it in few month time (as my first N-series phone). However, with such high-tech phone, it is normal to have huge issue, and question of worthiness to spend huge amount of money on something that you possibly wont fully utilize and lots of arguments.

Potential buyer scared they get disappointment after spending huge amount of money, hence the weird and numerous questions abt is it ok, how is the quality, comparable to this cheap same spec phone, it this useful (this function got use meh?) etc etc.

While current users have their phone and proud of it, but some answer like, "you dont like it, you question it this way," then get out, dont buy wont help at all. It would be great if the thread is going to be informative.

Have a look at SE threads, how peaceful, supportive and fun it is in there.

Conclusion: Critics and arguments are welcomed but keep it in reasonable, healthy way. Keep cool and don't flame (good critics is welcomed, flame = warning). ok?

okay... i managed to solve one part of the problem.. The packet data : connection not allowed error was due to the APN restriction and can be deactivated in the APN settings... found out about it after fiddling for about an hour..

now the second problem... no incoming packets.. will work more on it and let u guys know... ttfn

Added on April 10, 2007, 1:20 ambtw, i just changed to a new 128k sim card just 3 days ago.. maxis 3G..

still no packets received.. unable to login to PTT too...

Added on April 10, 2007, 1:25 amfixed it... under APN control, i created an empty setting.. saved and it worked.. just needed the pin2 code... default is 1234

i cant wait for the review of its camera capability from good/reliable sources.

initially, it seems very good/impressive from this site: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/media/galle...43680803&page=1

slight issue is the bright colour (e.g. white, yellow) is still over-exposed like the old n73 but the detail of objects and the focus is impressive. wait that is not the conclusion. my above comment is on pictures at 640*480. once pictures is viewed at actual size, my oh my! it is so pixelated losing great details. really disappointed at that quality. this implies its 5 mp is just for greater size but fine details is not greater than lower mp but with good focus and detail. hope further firmware upgrade will get it better, but i highly doubt so from nokia past history, n73 and n93.

but.. there is but. printing pic at R4 size from this phone is very sufficient. and that is very enough for me too at the moment. rclxms.gif

so, my request to forumer here owning the phone, flash us pic from ur 5mp cameraphone. would be a great help for me. and dont forget use thumbnail or at 640*480, i would prefer thumbnail though, can see the pic clearly at actual size.
