I really like the simple and clean design of Jack Spade 'Tech Oxford' briefcase but then they cost like RM1-2k+ which is a bit over budget for a student. If anyone is selling or knows a bag that has a minimal, clean look design and has good quality like this please share My budget would be 1k or below.

If I didn't have a Filson already, I'd get a Vermilyea Pelle.

Filson 256 is within your budget and might even last you your entire life.

Linjer looks like same marketing like DW, Frank Clegg has better heritage, and I have check out the bag myself at WJ & Co, dead solid and gonna last for generations.

Vermilyea Pelle looks rugged though, not suitable for my office environment.

Cool looking bag. The price is not cool tho. Lol!
