I recently got a US system and I'm guessing the AC adapter is not compatible here in Malaysia. So do I get a new one?

A stepdown converter changes 240v current (Malaysia) to 110v (USA/JPN).

if you plug the 110v AC adapter in without a converter there will be a small explosion. Kinda like a popping noise. Like the worlds most expensive firecracker.

it's available at Djinn's store - Gamers' Hideout, Cineleisure... if you are in PJ/KL area.

Ah. The dark art of Thread Necromancy.

Digging up something from March 2007 means very likely that the context is no longer relevant.

You really should just ask somewhere else.
