i think the main reason is that em10 has m4/3 sensor and with such a small sensor its harder to create any significant "bokeh" shot and resulted in "flat" looking image without much depth.i went through m4/3, apsc and FF and there are pros and cons of each system. if you were to compare 70d and em10, the biggest difference would be the size and weight. pairing a equivalent f2.8 zoom lens on a 70d will be huge and heavy to carry around, in return you do get "better quality" images due to the bigger sensor.
if you don't mind the bulkiness of dslr then go head
