My LG monitor was also like this. But very small.
If laptop I think the screen connection is loose. If monitor I think mmg spoil. Either way go fix la.

It’s probably loose connection like you said, same pattern like my sister laptop. Secure the connection using tape will do just fine.

Just now before i go out from my house, i turn on my laptop once again and poof it's back to normal! I still go to my IT shop where I bought my laptop, i turn on, nothing happen. Luckily there's a video of it and show it to them. They told me is it first time? I said tes, i said to them happened once i plugged my AC in. They said if it's occur again then bring back to them. Holyshit, I later go back will uninstall all the programs and restart it again like new.

GPU issue probably, my Dell monitor sometimes will turn like this also exactly same screen. Bottom half blur and lines while top half ok. I just turn off my monitor and on, everything back to normal.
Next time try:
1) Sleep mode just to turn off your screen, then wake your computer again
2) Restart (Off and On ur laptop)
