My job requires me to onboard aircraft which mean i am a frequent flier. Lately I am having a flu and i have this painful sensation near my eyes and nose area when aircraft is climbing and descending
I have met doctor and prescribed some antibiotics and medicine against flu but not effective . Lets say if i have to meet specialist which is might be ENT specialist, what kind of inspection and treatment i will get? am i gonna get admitted? private hospital.

for inspection ENT specialist will insert a scope to check whether are there swollen sinus or not. i gone through operation to remove sinus back in 2009. that is if serious case then need to undergo surgery to remove swollen sinus.

yeap need to be admitted for 2 days 1 night. i did the traditional surgery. back in 2009 the bill is roughly 6k.

usually specialist will ask for CT scan to check.. get a good ENT specialist. they might prescribe u with stronger antibiotic before suggest you for ops. even with ops, it will return after few years.

You can try apple cider vinegar (with mother) and honey every morning, drink on empty stomach. Make sure u dilute it to your liking and gradually increase to at least 1 tablespoon of ACV per day.

It works on my family, coz sinus infection is almost genetic. I hated it when my mom said it would help but gradually got used to it.

Now I’d get sinus infection if I don’t drink.
