If I have RGB, how important is it that I get clear films?

OK so I should qualify that I will not be using backlit keycaps. I'll be relying on the light diffusion effect of the transparent housing to get an underglow between keycaps.

Since the SMD LEDs will transmit its light 180 degrees, some of it will be blocked by the film. Question is, would it be enough to matter?

er what's your budget? which form factor are you looking for? the custom builds are not expensive, unless you use all those expensive parts.

there is a temporary workaround to lube switches on soldered prebuilts, but only with partial outcomes of properly lubed switches.

for switch lubing, i suggest to do it properly, with the right lube and techniques that you want.

I measured the gap to be about 3.5mm, if the product is OK, should I go for 3mm or 4mm version?

Between PCB and plate. A bit troublesome though. Need to cut holes for all the switches and stabilizers.

my kibods all are cheaper than ur Durgod i think(depends on how good of a deal u get).
I have the Filco MJ2 if u want to try and that is if u r in Klang Valley. but give me few days to put on keycaps and try it myself first. long time no use so not sure if the switch is still clicky and consistent or not. i do have a green switch too. its heavier than blue and can get quite tiring after awhile of typing and it is full sized. This i rarely rarelyyyy use, only the first month of getting it i think. so switch feels new. owh, Filco is TKL.

just trying to help in this community. it is nice being nice to other ppl. if ppl dont repay me, someday somehow god will.
