I'm lubing my dubber romes. Is Krytox GPL 105 suitable?

You can lube rubber domes? How is this even done? and Why?

it's really about personal preference. for instance, you can also use 205, but make sure you apply only very thin layers.

for topre boards i lube sliders and rails. i use 105 because it's more running, easier to apply.

for cherry mx style switch lubing, for me it's still krytox 105. (i like dampened feels of 105-lubed linear switches)

like i said, it's really up to your personal preference, depending on what you wish to achieve by lubing. you can stick to recommended lubes, techniques, etc.

Several things today:

1. I'm wondering if I could get the red LED on FC660C working, now I replaced the stock controller with Hasu's Alt Controller...
2. Where to buy an acrylic cover/roof for FC660C ala HHKB? If need to custom order, where to do? Any shops in KL areas?
3. Anybody here want to trade/swap/sell a complete set of FC660C keycaps? I have the black x black set, and I for the life of me can't type on these. Stock keycaps only please.

leopold fc660c is not really popular here. you can try ask these in the mymkb fb page. you can have better response there.

my 2 cents: for hasu's stuff i think you can ask in gh. for custom stuff, look international instead of local. if your fc660c is a 'made in japan' model, the black/black set is the stock key caps.

Regarding the Alt Controller for FC660C, Jun replied via email just now. Short answer is yes. It's possible to get the red LED to work with it.

Yea I have the made in Japan FC660C bought from widebasket at a discounted price; prepping for Heavy-6 hopefully.

Edit: Received a reply from widebasket. He said keyboard roof for FC660C à la HHKB’s will be available after Oct 1st. All is well then just wait for his update.

Color of the keycaps isn't important, I just want a TKL keyboard that has an aluminum base with usb cable detachable port, and rgb.

you might wanna take a look at gmmk tkl (no under-glow, but it's a good alternative, with mods)

massdrop ctrl at stock configurations is not that impressive in terms of typing experience. it needs mods to make it better. (it's a modular board, so they're simple fixes. however with that price tag it shouldn't be the case)

the place is pretty dead lol
