QUOTE(horns @ Mar 1 2019, 10:20 AM) he means the sockets not being seated properly on the pcb (the black pieces that have 2-pin holes in the picture) this is manufacturing defect. if this happened, the shop should be able to arrange replacement of the board for you. I see.. But if they are already soldered, still ok to reseat them?however it's better to check if this is caused by switches first. switch installation is simple, but bent pins will be common if you're not patient enough. |

QUOTE(smokey @ Mar 1 2019, 11:27 AM) soldered doesn't mean it's a permanent one-time process. if during the manufacturing process, and things like this happened, you don't expect manufacturers to throw the whole board away, right? so it should be ok to just reheat then reseat them.in fact, mkb modding includes modifications on oem boards. |

Hi all,
I did not keep myself updated in the MKB scene for a few years now, currently looking to buy myself a new TKL keyboard but usual brands like ducky, filco etc seems quite rare nowadays? Where can I get them? Or else, what are my alternatives? Budget below 400 if possible. Thanks. |

It will expensive because of shipping only. |

How many wireless MKB available now ? Tactile ?
Saw G613 logitech but is it tactile ? Usage ,for normal office typing with tactile bumps. Not linear where can't feel whether the key was press or not. |

Apart from kbdfans and aliexpress, anywhere else to source for DIY keyboard kits?
I'm looking to build a 65% Hotswappable Bluetooth keyboard and it's darn near impossible to find. I only saw a 65% hot swap pcb but not bluetooth. And I'm not willing to take the arduino path to make my own bluetooth HID. |

QUOTE(irsyadfy @ Mar 8 2019, 02:58 AM) there is a varmillo with bluetooth. in TKL. Nothing much , a total standard keyboard same as G613 logitech but with tactile. The G613 is linear type , so typing here sometimes need to feel the keypress is register with a bump feel.but most of the good ones cant be source locally. so it depends on ur budget, what u want in a kibod, and how u define a good kibod. Requirement -Tactile , force 45G maybe.Never tried with 60g but basic will do.Need to type a lot of report. -Need numberpad for calculator together.Full size keyboard. -No RGB , distraction on office. -Wireless since table is small often need to move the keyboard left right or even sometimes put ontop of the files to type or lap. -If possible with bluetooth , sometimes need to reply on sms. Actually , just wanted a basic wireless keyboard with mechanical typing. If logitech G613 is tactile will suits the best. |

Anyone tried with G613 before ? Need so review on typing or typist. |

Only OEM brand can make it cheap like logi/china brand, because mass produce. Anyone tried with G613 before ? Need so review on typing or typist. For custom board, all parts actually charged more than you can expect, pushing the keyboard become expensive. I built (build from DIY kit) before tactile TKL with bluetooth, and can cost RM 500+ onwards. |

Anyone use G613 ? can review abit compare to rubber keyboard from those basic d3ll keyboard ? I search some said it's almost the same. |

Anyone use G613 ? can review abit compare to rubber keyboard from those basic d3ll keyboard ? I search some said it's almost the same. you mean to say local units have linear switches? i think you should double check the specs at local shops first. also, if you really liked it, just go ahead. about review, i really suggest you go and try it out personally. the main reason why we suggest options other than romer-g switches is mainly because the stock caps might not be as durable as the switches. (replacement cap sets might be hard to find) the incompatibility also makes having a mkb a lot less fun hehe |
