Just ask latest price for Kelisa 165/55/R14 ES32 @ RM140/pcs (No GST)
Fitted 2 pcs at March 18 this year (RM300 all in with GST), no complain and quite like the comfort and quietness. Previous using Maxxis but it is harden after few years of using, so road noise is unacceptable for me.

Seem the review from UK not bad also..

Hmm, why you not doing upsize to 185/60/R15 or even 195/55/R15? Wider tyre more roadholding and lower profile a bit feels stable..
*
Original size will always bring the best balance between fuel economy & comfort, if the owner is not doing high speed corners 175/65/R15 should be no issue.
Besides that, original rim width may not be suitable to install wider tires; if tires too wide compare to the rim also will impact the car handling.

Any current users on this ES32 can share on its fuel efficiency aspect?
*
I am not sure what you want, but BluEarth series are made for environment friendly & fuel efficiency in mind.

My switch from Maxxis to Yokohoma for Kelisa (165/55/R14) manage to get around 5~10% improvement in term of mileage/fuel economy for a full tank of fuel.

This is the fourth gen Honda City right (year 2002-2008)? If that's the case, actually can use 195/55/15 and best to buy the Hankook V12 Evo2, much better than all those tires you have mentioned and bought while being about the same price or even cheaper! I bought exactly that same size for only rm170/pc just over a month ago.
*
Bro, you are comparing 2 different tire category.

Hankook V12 Evo 2 is UHP Summer tire
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Hankook/...us-V12-evo2.htm

Yokohama BluEarth ES32 is Premium Touring Summer tire
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Yokohama...rth-Es-ES32.htm

Not all people are like you going around fast corners or performance orientated.
If normal person like me who enjoy comfort drive with good fuel efficiency i will always choose the tire range that suit me.

If you want a direct competition against your tire choice, Yokohama Advan (Neova/Fleva) range should be suitable for that.

I know those are 2 different categories. The thing is the V12E2 is also comfortable with soft sidewall and silent (tested 67db noise level only), just like those mid-range touring tires. So with this tire you have better performance grip while not sacrificing those comfort criteria, plus the durability is also pretty good. That's why it's the better option even for those who prioritize comfort.
*
Bro, performance tire sure got better grip but still you will still loss in term of fuel efficiency & comfort as V12E2 is built for performance at first.

Lets compare 195/50/R15 via blackcircles website

https://www.blackcircles.com/tyres/brands/h...-v12-evo-2-k120

Hankook Euro Tyre Label Rating

Fuel Efficiency - E , Wet Grip - B, Noise - 71Db

https://www.blackcircles.com/tyres/brands/y...a/bluearth-es32

Yokohama Euro Tyre Label Rating

Fuel Efficiency - C , Wet Grip - B, Noise - 68Db

For other size Hankook V12E2 can get better wet grip, but still fuel efficiency rating & noise level still unable to compete againts Yokohama as Yokohama design this tire for fuel efficiency & comfort.

As I said, the V12E2 actually has been tested to just produce 67db noise level instead of the rating of 71db that you stated above. That 67db puts it on par with most mid-range silent tires already. Even though maybe still a tad more noisy and maybe consume a bit more fuel but the difference should be marginal compared to noticeably higher performance grip that it provides, hence IMO give & take, the V12E2 provides the better balance of all criteria while costing as cheap if not cheaper too. Anyway different people may have different views on what is the better "balance" of those criteria, so yeah can be subjective too.
*
I am not sure how you get your noise level, but from my experience these noise level provided by tire makers are taken in lab test and consider external noise not in car environment.
If the tire noise at outside is louder, for sure in car environment is more quieter due to noise insulation.
Anyway you do have your opinion in term of hankook tires, but take note that not all people are fancy about performance tire as each tire type also got their pro & con.
In the end is about the owner want to choose more comfort, fuel efficient base tire or performance type tires, there is no single tire model which can satisfy all people.

Cc6 is one of the best comfort tyres I have used. I'm running on cc6 195/55/15 on my myvi for almost 2 years now. It is quiet but does get noisy when you drive above 110 but it's still tolerable.

Grip wise, its more than sufficient for normal use. Dry grip is pretty good for comfort tyres. Wet grip, as long as you don't push the car, it's okay. Always remember to pump with the correct tyre pressure. I once pumped 35 or 36 psi can't really recall and I skidded on jalan Travers. Well the road was damp and I was pushing the car so that contributed to the skid as well.

Overall, 9/10 for cc6, in my opinion.
*
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Continen...Contact-CC6.htm

CC6 only more towards comfort & reducing road noise.. As per what you mention, the grip is not that great if compare with others.. I also been in limbo of choosing between the CC6 & ES32 for the Kelisa, but after after some review & feedback from few tire shop i decided to go for Yokohama as they really did a good job with the pricing range & quality lately. Not sure how much SST will impact, but the price for sure is worth the spend.

Yup. Grip can't compare with other tyres but it's sufficient for my driving style. How much does the es32 cost nowadays?
*
For your reference, last i ask around MYR140 for 165/55/R14 Kelisa size during SST/GST 0% (Only tire price)
I believe the price might went up from 5~10% now due to SST & depending on size, the price may varies also.

I think got from the official Yokohama catalog (Page 11 of 28), but you will need to get local distributor to check if they got bring in this model for your size.

Bro, if want long life tire. You should look at Indonesian or Indian tires. Hankook for me is out due to higher budget compare to like Apollo or GITI tires if just want to last long.
Even Falken tires did better compare to Hankook if just for that.
Japanese tires mostly comfort first, safety and last only long lasting.
As long lasting tires usually grip is less due to low resistant or harder compound and you will sacrifice braking performance, high speed and cornering stability.

Used almost 40k on my Kelisa (165/55/R14) for a duration of 2 years plus with mix normal & spirited driving. Conclusion very good for a budget range tire, meet most of my expectation with more silent & comfort drive (My previous tires is Dunlop SP Sport J5 + Maxxis). The only problem (expected) i found is the side wall is a bit too soft for hard cornering, so it is more preferable for normal drive. Would i purchase another set to replace.. Yes! thumbup.gif

True to what he said.
My new es32 mileage 3000km only. Something sharp kena and cut the tyre while driving.

Attract damm alot of stones and will block the functions of the tyre.
*
Softer tire for sure will attract a lot of stones, if you want to remove the stones you can just purchase stone removal hook for tires via online platform like Lazada or Shoppee. Come with a lot of names like Tire Cleaning Hook, Car Tire Clear Stone Hook, etc..

As per mentioned by @abubin, softer tires provide better grip and silent drive but con is faster wear and attract more stones. This is not a sport or hardcore tires, so you will need to take care for it.

Driving W204 C-class with front 225/45R17 and rear 245/40R17.
Rear size a bit difficult to find. Was planning for Primacy4 but rear no such size.
So a few choices here. What are the reviews for these?
RE003 scare noisy n hard,
PS4 expensive,
Yoko ES32 maybe?
*
I met 1 mazda 3 owner not long ago also change all 4 tires with Yoko Es32, no regret from him also.

If you want better comfort & silent tires from Yoko, it is the Advan Db V552 model.
That model is imported from Japan and price should be near & lower compare to Michelin Primacy 4.

That size still pretty common actually.
Get Goodyear F1 Sport, better in the wet, last longer and should be more silent than RE003, cheaper than PS4, surely better overall than ES32 or Primacy 4.
*
Better in term of performance as F1 sport is under UHP tire, if about comfort or silent it will be another story.
Different tires model got different purpose to suit different driver needs.

Many UHP tires now can already closely match comfort and silence of touring tires. Based on what I heard, the F1S is entry level UHP which is softer and more silent than PS4 so should be pretty close to touring tires too. My experience with the higher UHP and older F1A2 was already pretty comfortable and silent.
*
UHP tires tend to have stiffer sidewall & rubber compound which is more sticky or grip on the road.
These 2 will impact comfort, fuel economy and also the tire noise especially on bad road condition.
Even with new treads design in reducing tire noise, still it will got some gap between UHP & comfort base tires which are design purposely for different group of people.

If you want to go more towards all rounder the suitable model from Goodyear should be Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 or comfort base like EfficientGrip model.

I got quote of 140 MYR/pc for 175/65/R14.
Shop is DU star Damansara Perdana.

Cannot find shop that sell it less than that.
Compared to XM2+ which goes for around 175 MYR/pc, should I go for that instead?

My current tyre is Nexen HD plus, but I would like something that can absorb more bump than that while being safe on wet road.
*
Why not if it suits your budget & requirement. FYI my Kelisa is on 2nd set of Yokohama ES32 now.

Guys, Yokohama tires been on the price up recently. Just ask about Kelisa tire price yesterday and for size 165/55/R14 new 2021 stock price almost up RM20/pcs (MYR150 -> MYR170/pcs). For those shop still having old stock 2020 year 1 can consider it if still selling old price.

I'm looking to change tyres for my Axia 175/65R14.

Looking at CC6 but found in Shopee selling ES32 in roughly the same price range ( difference less than RM10 per tyre ).

Mostly limited to city driving and low mileage.

Opinion between CC6 vs E32?

Just changed from Axia stock tyres to ES32 for RM155 before tyre price hike.

I need to ask tho, if let's say for Axia (stock rims), what tyre pressure do you guys maintain?

Previously I follow Perodua's recommendation at 250kPA / 36 psi for their stock tyres, now the mechanic recommend me to maintain air pressure at 210kPa / 30 psi.
*
Your using same size or different size. If same size just use back original recommendation.
