No problem bringing foldable bicycle on MRT, plus there are facilities for them as well.

However for electric mini scooter, better get written response from MRT.

its malaysia, today can doesnt mean after a while still can, like bringing a dog into shopping mall was ok until ppl make hooha about it and new rules implemented in shopping mall. so same to uber and grabcar, when taxi driver sees all ppl using those, and no more waterfish for them, they will hooha, and ban will happen.

1. It's still really heavy
2. Crowded area would be a pain.
3. Potholes

Add that all up and the convenience isnt't worth it.

Show me a written law in Malaysia that say dogs aren't allowed, I mean Malaysia law not shopping mall rules.

And do u know how many malls has pet shop that sell pets? If law ban dogs, how those shops able to get dogs in and how customer able to get dogs out?

problem is using it in pedestrian walkway with so many ppl also walking at the same time (especially in KL golden triangle area) during peak hours, in the end LPPL u still have to get down and push and walk together.

Shop owners take care of the poop.

Other countries, owners also clean the poop by throwing it in a paper bag.

Malaysia? Every time I go jogging I can see dog shit. Under the sun it's smelly as fuck.

I wouldn't want any dogs in Malaysian malls EVER until Malaysians know how to clean up shit from their own pets.

Sometimes pedestrian path very crowded so it's actually safer to ride along with other vehicles instead of risk hitting actual walking pedestrian.

Also depends on what destination you are going.

Just treat the riders like normal motorcyclist except at a much slower speed.

Besides the e-scooter can actually speed up much faster than a bicycle, so if cyclist can be on the tar road, e-scooter rider should be able to as well.

Also riders should only keep at the side of the lane instead of hogging the entire lane. wink.gif

if it's crowded then you slow down.
if you want to ride fast and stay on the road, get a motorcyle.
these scooter can't be like motorcycle,
no license, no side mirrors, no signals.
and if really want to stay on road. do like pedestrian on the road.
stay next to sidewalk facing the traffic.

Malls are private property,  they invite to come but also reserve the right to make you leave.

if it's crowded then you slow down.
if you want to ride fast and stay on the road, get a motorcyle.
these scooter can't be like motorcycle,
no license, no side mirrors, no signals.
and if really want to stay on road. do like pedestrian on the road.
stay next to sidewalk facing the traffic.

You shouldn't be on the pavement.

Tell that to all the cyclists smile.gif

no license, no side mirrors, no signals too like you said. whistling.gif

Not trying to start a war. rolleyes.gif

I'm getting constructive feedbacks myself since this thing is still not regulated yet in Malaysia unlike Singapore. innocent.gif

As for getting a motorcycle, not for me as my commute involves getting on train and mainly trying to shorten my last mile. Can't bring a motorcycle on train tho. I prefer electric over gasoline anyday.

Well I'm a cyclist and i certainly don't ride on the pavement, too slow. If you do that in London, the policeman will actually caution you.
Not so regulated in Malaysia doesn't give you licence to be a nuisance to pedestrians. Later they clamp down hard and Bora Bora cyclists, then you will complain it's over regulated.

Peak aka normal rush hours.

Yes I do get stare at all the time but got used to it liau  cool2.gif
Sometimes pedestrian path very crowded so it's actually safer to ride along with other vehicles instead of risk hitting actual walking pedestrian.

Also depends on what destination you are going.

Just treat the riders like normal motorcyclist except at a much slower speed.

Besides the e-scooter can actually speed up much faster than a bicycle, so if cyclist can be on the tar road, e-scooter rider should be able to as well.

Also riders should only keep at the side of the lane instead of hogging the entire lane.  wink.gif

Pedestrian is alaways crowded .If got bike lane you can use la
scooter speed around same with bicycle .foldie can got 30-40

Seems like we are on same side supporting e scooter to be on tar roads then.

Anyways I still think it should be regulated regardless of any dispute.

In SG before being regulated, there are bastards that mod their scooters to reach super high speed like 60kph.

It's only a matter of time before this happen here. whistling.gif

No worries bro.
I'm supportive of your alternative commuter thinking. As long as it is safe, sustainable and not a nuisance to others and cost effective, it's a win win.
I used to cycle to my work place when i worked in Hartamas. Hilly but still made it. Saved on having a car and the attendant expenses, for awhile at least.

Actually people curse cyclists that doesn't follow regulations also. laugh.gif

If you want to be on the road totally then should follow all the regulations.
Follow traffic light. Wave hands to show changing of lane.
And don't use pedestrian crossing. laugh.gif
