Not gonna make a difference, the engine is tuned to accept perodua genuine oil just fine.

sibling with god car, no need use engine oil also can run one

5W-30 Liqui Moly Fully Synthetic, 5W-40 only make the car no power due to higher viscosity, but if you go track day then use 5W-40.

Perodua owned fully syn engine oil. Cheaper than outside. U need to change at the sc to enjoy the discounted price.

Too bad as the labour cost higher. Thus ended up both outside and perodua sc almost same price

I think not much diff service outside & perodua. I can't really recall..2 mths ago i decided to service my daughter's axia via ext workshop which I know charged very reasonable rate & not wanting to wait so long at perodua sc. The total cost inc rm40 service charge was ~RM180. I later on checked bck previous service at perodua and found out the oil by pwrodua is much cheaper althour labour doubled the ext w/shop.

By comparing both just on the total fig, the workshop & perodua price is almost the same lor

I simply choose ext workshop, becoz save time, no super long waiting at SC. A piece of mind.

Price can be cheaper, or sometimes slightly more than SC. A small different i dont mind paying since no waiting, masuk workshop they directly service ur car. Not like SC, need to call set appointment. park ur service book 1st, then wait wait wait, the only SC guy call, sit at counter discuss what parts to replace, must do this that service bla bla....then wait lagi. wait wait so long like fuarkkk. Really hate the concept.

old myvi cannot ue full syn?

The one I bought from outside workshop (none perodua) was also 3 ltr. The only diff is the external w/shop 3ltr oil is more expensive than Perodua SC

Why would you want to buy a 3 litre pack when the Myvi needs 4 litres of oil?

this one use time very gooding, good throttle respond, RPM low anc achieve high speed, fuel saving but after 3 year can heard valve lifter sound tak, tak. tak ,,,,,, this is my experience on Campro , i immediate change back to Petronas Synthium 800, problem solve , no more sound

serviced mine at perodua SC , my car 10 years liao, 1-2 years went service outside third party, kantoi, all good parts changed to cheap parts, service quality bad.

but since i go service centre for so many years, can get discount (since know the manager) plus service is good and ensure all quality check is done to my car. i.e. any issues are fixed as i drive long distant

p/s: price wise overall not much difference

the major difference between SC and outside SC for me is checking
official SC check everything for u, while outside SC will not...they simply change the oil thn handed back to u

thats why few days ago someone opened thread looking for reliable workshop
its hard to find reliable workshop that do all this and not cut your throat at the same time
most of which are just small business, those big workshop are usually cut throat based on my experience


as got oil that can easily last 10k, i too recommend liqui moly
i use 10W-40 semi syn on my cranky/picky campro, i push the service from 5k to 8k
even thn, my campro still didn't get cranky
but back when i'm using shell HX7 and synthium 800, the engine already cranky at 4k KM

castrol magnatec 10w-30 for wifu's myvi. used since when she got the car (2nd hand). always bought from tesco when they got sell (rm110 per 4l bottle) in fact i hav 3 bottles at home for stock. enough for 4 times oil change, at the interval of 8k km

cant say anything about the oil since i rarely drive my wife's car. but if mechanic say all is good then ill happily use it again

Not advisable to use 10k...as gas and oil technology engineer, the oil can be used for 5k only. Better to change before 5k its much better.10k oil its a marketing strategy to get more consumers. Engine pistons will last long for ages without any issue if change oil before 5k.always use 1st grade oil, there is alot of 2nd grade oils in market now days.Smell of it and cheaper price are the easyway to find out the oil grade.

Any modern engine oil also can go 10k. Car manufacturer con you thinking otherwise so that they can make more money only.

Use honda fully synthetic oil...0w-20..its honda jazz oil.

Use semi synth 10k no problem. I dont user mineral oil, so no comment. Semi synth not really that expensive anyway
