Hi, I am currently using 4mb + phone bill with around RM113, i am feeling to upgrade to unifi lite 10mb. However, recently TM has call me and told me that there is a 30mb plan with just RM139 per month, which is rm10 extra and you get 3x speed.

So i need some suggestion here actually should i go with 10mb rm129 + gst=RM136.74 or i should take 30mb with rm147.34??
My house only 3 ppl using, myself and my parents, my parents usage is quite low and my usage is only at night after back from work at normal days.
Usually stream youtube, fb or may be play some games.
Hypp tv have or dont have also never mind to me, but my dad seems to wan it.
As for budget, cheaper is better la of course. biggrin.gif

currently i have a small problem with my 4mb speed, some time it will dc and i will need to restart the modem, i think is mayb because of my house having old telephone infra.

Share me your experience or suggestion as much as possible. Appreciate and many thanks. icon_rolleyes.gif
1) should i remain as 4mb ? change to unifi lite RM129? or advance 30 with the promo rm139?

I would recommend the 30Mbps plan, as the Unifi lite does not provide the STB for you to watch on TV. Just to let you know in advance, between the two router they provide, the D-Link DIR-850L or the TP-Link Archer C1200, go for the DIR-850L, as the C1200 have many problems.

Basically just 3 people in my house, Myself and my parents , normally just Youtubing all the while or Online gaming. Maybe some times would download movies.
The ppl who use the most is me only. As my parents is only fb-ing whatsapp or some time watch some video only.

May i know how long the promotion last for rm119 and rm139 plan? will it be like Unifi rm139 plan only last for 2 year then back to normal price after that? Sorry i just get this info from the website "Sign up for high-speed fibre now, from as low as RM119/month for a limited period"
contract 2 years also?
Will maxis offer me for free upgrade like Unifi does after few years? or like add rm10 you will get extra speed. Base on your customer's experience, please share me some info TQ biggrin.gif

Decided by the technician that is installing your connection but just try to request for it. They are usually receptive.

it all depends on how deep is your pocket. If you have money to burn, 30mbps is the way to go... if you are on tight budget.... you should probably stick to your current plan

Go with Unifi Lite RM129, try first.

If you don't thin it's sufficient, upgrade in the future.
If you're contented, stick with it.

Price is GST excluded, if I'm not mistaken.. so just stick to 10Mbps.
