Hi people,
I'm the owner of a company that enhances the security and communication within communities. The purpose is to secure neighbourhoods and give alerts when strange things happen. It is all online and the users use an account to communicate about who is visting the neighbourhoods and if its safe or not. But now I am searching for a system to make those accounts safer for the users when they need to log in. Do you guys have any tips?

Two factor authentication is an option I think. It adds an extra layer of security to your accounts, because users need to verify themselves with that. Ask your developers to look for a suitable option on here: https://www.programmableweb.com/news/progra...rief/2018/01/01

a simple sms verification code would suffice, much like those used by google or internet bankings (TAC).
since telco providers already have a layer of security on who can gain access to the line itself, you are basically piggybacking on that layer.
