Hello, currently undergoing Comp Sc courses in college.

Since I am still in college, I would like to take the opportunity to participate in various Coding events (eg. Hackfest, Code-a-thon, Hackathon) in Malaysia.

Is there anyone that could recommend or publish here any events available in the coming future?

Is there any forum/thread/fb groups that publishes coding events?

Feedbacks and suggestions are welcomed smile.gif

It's true. I totally support women in technology biggrin.gif

However, it would be great to have coding sessions/workshops more often in Malaysia.

Google Codejam started to open for registration a few days back and its first qualification round usually starts in April. Of course you can do the contest anywhere in Malaysia with an internet connection.

hmm.gif I'm beginning to wonder if it's really worth the effort to spend your 3 days to compete for RM3k prize money. What are the motivations for anyone to join such hackathons?

It would have been better to be a team event where each person gets RM3k as champion.

There will be some who love a challenge but many programmers wont work optimally with people peering down on them for 3 days.
