Game has been out for a few days now. I'm playing it, and currently addicted. Gameloft have taken the gacha route and introduces card packs where you need to collect the blueprints to unlock a car. Basically a very expensive game if you want to collect everything.

But so far, I think they're pretty generous with the rewards. But the only thing that I still hate to this day is how little "fuel" (action points, 6 max) they give for us. But each car have their own fuel tank, which means if you finish one car, you can use other car while waiting for that car to refuel. Refuel takes 15 mins and can be skipped by half by watching an ad, and can be skipped completely by watching another ad.

Now, let's talk about the gameplay. Obviously, being a gacha game, this game is more focused on the collecting parts. So tracks are not too long and there's even an auto drive mode called TouchDrive. TouchDrive basically drives the car for you but you get to make decisions about which route to take, to drift or to use the nitrous. I think this is a very interesting concept. It takes almost ZERO skill to play. You'd get a perfect run 99% of the time.

Because of that TouchDrive, upgrading cars are you next priority to collecting them. You can even increase their rating by collecting more blueprints of the same car and get another star up. All cars start with 1 star and can be upgraded up to 3 stars.

If you played gacha games before, this concept is nothing new to you and you probably have figured out the best strategy to get as much cars as possible. Either by whaling, or waste your time grinding. I think grinding wouldn't be too hard on this game. It seems pretty balanced so far.

AI in this game is OK. Rubber band AI. If you want a real match, play ranked. You play online, live with other players. Since there's not many players yet, you'll matched with higher ranked players most of the time. And this is probably where stuff gets a little pay to win. However, my experience in CSR2, being almost completely free to play player (spent only once in the beginning), I win 90% of time. So I expect the same of this game. Definitely need a bigger playerbase before I can be certain of the ranked games.

Also, I am looking for an active club that can reach all the milestones for the McLaren P1. If you own a club that can reach 20k milestones before each seasons end, please let me know. I'd love to be part of you guys.

huge upgrade in terms of graphic. gameplay wise, not really interested with 'touchdrive'. of course u can turn it off and engage 'classic' controls but it will be less fun if the opponent opted for 'touchdrive'.
