QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Aug 21 2018, 03:44 PM) They can achieve that is mainly because of their cashbacks, I believe the majority don't even care about the idea of paying by phone, they just want to get the freebies. After all, many will still rely on cash. People will only start relying on e wallets when everyone is using it, and to make that happen, it's gotta be supported in almost everywhere. They will have to either extend or expand, or do both at the same time. E wallets here still have lots to learn from the ones in China. currently there is no clear leader in the ewallet space in Msia. TnG got potential if they can leverage their existing user base.

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Aug 21 2018, 04:23 PM) If they were great in the first place, we would've already been using their TnG cards like HK's Octopus card or JPN's Suica card, which is supported like everywhere, people in these countries use the cards for everything. But our TnG card can't even be at least up to par like having an online reload feature. TnG has potential, but with bad leadership. I believe the value of the card is stored in the card itself, so online topup would not be possible. The only reason why I think TnG not widely accepted is because of the "surcharge" and merchants not absorbing it.
