Went to apply for port in from Umobile this morning. As I was walking out from Maxis centre, the SMS from Umobile came. Replied "YES" straight away, now waiting for Umobile to deactivate. Saying goodbye to bad internet coverage and slow speed!

I'm on the postpaid 40 package, these few days feeling like the speed has dropped. Usually I'm getting around 12Mbps but these few days getting around half of it.
You guys experiencing speed dropped? |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Apr 27 2024, 11:40 PM) Just to be kepoh here. How many of you on the old Hotlink Postpaid 40 choose to upgrade to new postpaid 45? How about those who choose to stay on old plan and why? Yeah me too. Always have broadband at work and at home, hardly use any data unless going out, the free 5GB data also did not finish.I'm still staying on the old Postpaid 40 just simply because I do not even finish my quota every month. However, lately using a bit more to watch chinese drama because using unifi the "ahem" app keeps on buffering whereas using phone data smooth YoungMan liked this post

QUOTE(NagaK @ Jun 26 2024, 07:19 PM) Not sure, I have never requested anything from Maxis, just that I have been with this plan for over 5 years or more and payment is on time. They automatically give the loyalty bonus to me. Maybe you can call the customer service to enquire? NagaK liked this post

QUOTE(geekfiredog @ Aug 18 2024, 06:02 PM) Do check your latest bill as you might be overcharged by hotlink. Thanks bro for the heads up. I just received my latest bill and without additional usage, my monthly bill came to RM42.55 (vs RM42.40 under Postpaid 40). Upon further investigation, here is the findings (at least for my accounts) - The switch happened on Aug 16, and my statement date is on the 17th. So Aug billing (31 days) is prorated - For July 17,2024 0 Aug 15, it is billed under the old plan 30/31 * RM40 = RM38.71 (RM1.29/day) - For Aug16, it is billed under the new plan 1/31 * RM45 = RM1.45 (RM1.29/day) - Total become RM38.71 + RM1.45 = RM40.16 (or RM42.57 after tax, round down to RM42.55) I called customer service to point out the error in their billing calculation as the transition from postpaid 40 to postpaid 45 should be transparent to postpaid 40 customers, and customer shouldn't be paying even a single cent extra. After additional checking, the customer service agent mentioned that the switch over happened on Aug 16, butt he RM5/month rebate only start on next billing cycle, so user need to pay the new rate (prorated) between Aug 16 to their next billing cycle. I'm not sure if everyone's statement date is on the 17th, and if the switchover to the new plan happened on Aug 16, and the gap between old plan and new plan with RM5 rebate is only 1 day like my case. Anyway - the extra charge is removed (CS use the term waived, I told CS it shouldn't be called waiver, it should be rectification of the bill) for my accounts. I then asked the customer service agent what is Maxis going to do with the additional RM0.15/day charges for all impacted postpaid 40 customers - she just mentioned maxis will waive the extra charge IF AND ONLY IF customer call them to rectify their bill. So check your bill and call customer service to have your bill "rectified" if you are having the same issue! Upon checking my plan just now, it still remains at postpaid 40 (bill is still at RM42.40). My new billing is on the 10th of every month. I shall keep an eye out for this, thanks again. |

QUOTE(jusbella @ Aug 11 2025, 03:10 PM) I'm using the Hotlink Postpaid 45 plan. This free pass is the loyalty bonus for the Hotlink Postpaid users who has subscribe for 6 months or more continuously. Previously they gave a 5GB 30 days free pass as a loyalty bonus. Sorry, but I'm not sure if Hotlink Pantas is eligible or not. jusbella liked this post
