Comparing Hotlink Flex Plus with Celcom XP Lite:

Hotlink gives unlimited SMS, Celcom doesn't.
Hotlink gives 10GB data, Celcom gives 12GB.
Hotlink gives free 10GB YouTube, Celcom gives 3GB video and *one hour of unlimited data per day*.
Both no carry forward.
Both unlimited calls.
Both have contract free or 24 months contract if take cheap phone.

Quite a tough choice.

Looking at Hotlink Postpaid Flex offerings again, they are geared towards promoting the Hotlink Postpaid Flex + Maxis Home Fibre 30Mbps package for RM99/month, which basically means a discount of RM60/month, and that’s huge!

So there is also a chance that we won’t see them revamping the Hotlink Postpaid Flex plan anytime soon as their main aim is to sign-up people for the bundle Hotlink Postpaid Flex package and not a standalone Hotlink Postpaid Flex line. How I wish Maxis Unlimited Postpaid and Fibre gets some discount too since it’s a bundled product, but all we get is unlimited mobile data.

Some people have been complaining to suffer from slow Maxis data between 8PM - 12AM everyday and apparently was still happening just last month.

Anyway, personally for me I do not have such problem and my video streaming speed isn’t capped either. This is tested on MaxisONE Plan 98 in KL.

Yes. It was. Because the MaxisONE 98 sim card was inside my Huawei B818-263 modem when this speed test was taken. I’m still using the same connection now.
