Cannot get esim for hotlink postpaid anymore?

This afternoon when i went to Maxis center, the sales lady said the minimum plan that has esim is the Maxis Postpaid RM98.

Actually, earlier i went to a maxis business partner distributor shop, so can’t apply for it. Minimum is for the Maxis Postpaid RM98 and above

However, i went straight to an official Maxis Center, and i can confirm that esim is available for hotlink postpaid. Can choose either the HP30, HP40 (which i took) and HP60 package.

Now a very satisfied iphone xs max user, not worry about coverage anymore.

Main telco: celcom blue legacy 5+5GB - physical sim
Secondary telco: hotlink postpaid 40 - esim

No charges. Straight up RM40 (HP40 package) for first bill.

But, if later want to transfer esim to new iphone, need to pay RM10.

After the recent Maxis signed DNB for 5G access agreement, really hoping Hotlink Postpaid 40/60 will have 5G access.

For existing 30, 40 & 60 users, just need to topup additional RM10/month to get 5G access.

For new users, need to take Hotlink Postpaid 70 to enjoy 5G.

But i still can’t find where the 5G quota it will take if you comes from package 40, like me.
Package 40 has 30GB quota per month, so perhaps it will take from there?

Right now it’s still free up to 15th september.
After that, the Rm10/month 5G access will start to commence.

Just gotten a new Iphone 15 today. Wish to try out Hotlink Postpaid 70 5G.

I had Hotlink Postpaid 40 before on my old iphone xs max as secondary esim backup line (main line is celcom blue legacy rm45 physical sim).

I stay in Northern region, at Alor star Kedah.
But most of the time, i will go back hometown in Klang Selangor area.


Is maxis/hotlink 5G good? Wide coverage? Speed wise fast or not? 5G line stable?
My consumption: Youtube, Tiktok, surfing /k, etc.
Monitor house/office cctv sometimes.
No online games.

From what i read, hotlink postpaid 70 package offers a rm10 rebate for 6 months, making it rm60 monthly instead of rm70.
then will revert back to rm70 monthly after that 6 months rebate period.

Rm45 celcom + rm70 hotlink postpaid 5G = rm115 for my telco monthly commitment just to try out 5G

Other 5G telcos are better? umobile? YES? Celcom?

Can anybody give feedbacks on your 5G experience so far?

You went straight to nearby maxis center?

Just browsed through the upgrade plan yesterday via Hotlink App and Postpaid 45 was available for FREE upgrade.
Upgraded it and was happy to see the 5G icon on my iphone 15.

Also, i added onexox prepaid esim rm15 1GB as secondary telco backup incase maxis telco line makes trouble again

guys, do you encounter any network issue during the day?

my line suddenly no bar, then took sometime before can get up to 5G.

then, some people cannot contact me due to no line on my side i guess.
