This is a postpaid plan. I called Hotlink CS, they told me need to pay GST 6% for this plan only for 1st bill, after that no more GST.
*
lol then why called it as a postpaid plan
as we only pay RM 31.80 (after RM 30 gst) for the 1st month rclxub.gif

Can you try do speedtest on your postpaid flex?
I noticed that maximum download speed from my iPhone is around 30mbps hmm.gif

On their promo leaflet I took from Maxis Centre last year, there was indeed mention that the internet speed for Hotlink Postpaid Flex is capped at 30Mbps.
*
that was unfair to hotlink postpaid flex user sweat.gif

But anyway, I believe an urgent revamp of the Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plan is necessary due to Hotlink Unlimited Prepaid has made this Hotlink Postpaid Flex kind of redundant. Some capped speed is fine since they want to keep the best of everything to the expensive Maxis Postpaid. Here’s to hoping we will hear new changes coming to Hotlink Postpaid Flex soon.
*
Hope Maxis will revamp Hotlink Postpaid Flex
Else will go Maxis Center and downgrade to Hotlink Unlimited Prepaid biggrin.gif

Even you downgrade to Holink unlimited  prepaid you can all always upgrade  to flex back 😊
*
Ya but it seems like only able to downgrade to Hotlink Unlimited Prepaid by MNP out to other telco
then MNP back to this Hotlink Unlimited Prepaid
Will wait for another month to see Maxis going to revamp Hotlink Postpaid Flex or not biggrin.gif

Yup can confirm now the phone I'm using on Hotlink Flex I took it to other places to test and it went upto 60Mbps so it means the place I'm based now is highly congested with Maxis users.
*
that glad to hear that
will try it out whenever going to other place and report back

Looking at Hotlink Postpaid Flex offerings again, they are geared towards promoting the Hotlink Postpaid Flex + Maxis Home Fibre 30Mbps package for RM99/month, which basically means a discount of RM60/month, and that’s huge!

So there is also a chance that we won’t see them revamping the Hotlink Postpaid Flex plan anytime soon as their main aim is to sign-up people for the bundle Hotlink Postpaid Flex package and not a standalone Hotlink Postpaid Flex line. How I wish Maxis Unlimited Postpaid and Fibre gets some discount too since it’s a bundled product, but all we get is unlimited mobile data.
*
I wish Maxis offer more data to all Hotlink Postpaid Flex plan like what they offer for Maxis Postpaid last week cry.gif
Take a look at its Maxis Postpaid Share 48, it comes with 30GB data, meanwhile the most expensive Hotlink Postpaid Flex 60 only comes with 10GB + 10GB YouTube, while Hotlink Postpaid 30 and more data only 5GB + 3GB YouTube
What a huge difference between Maxis Postpaid and Hotlink Postpaid doh.gif

Had tried Digi previously, at certain area of my office totally no line
And those shopping mall that I visit frequently, showing 4G but speed like 3G laugh.gif
U Mobile still using as it is my secondary number
Celcom no idea laugh.gif

By matching the offering of Hotlink Postpaid, they risk cannibalising their own Maxis business. But at least they now offer huge discount if you take up the bundle Hotlink Postpaid and Fibre offer, which MaxisONE Prime doesn’t get. RM50 discount a month is really a lot.
*
Last year or last 2 year TM auto upgraded my fiber internet so I believe I cannot goes back to 30mbps, as my house got more and more devices connected Internet laugh.gif
Unless they offer 100mbps in Hotlink Postpaid which will not going happen anytime soon
So that the reason I didn't subscribe Maxis Postpaid as home got Unifi
Might downgrade to Hotlink Unlimited Prepaid, but I don't think I can tolerate with 3mbps or 6mbps
Will see how Maxis going to revamp it biggrin.gif

Pairing faster Maxis Fibre package - 100Mbps with Hotlink, Maxis risks cannibalising its Maxis mobile/fibre bundle business. But since Hotlink can offer such a huge discount (RM50) for its Hotlink Pospaid and Fibre bundle, Maxis should offer some discount to its customers on MaxisONE Prime too.

My parents are on MaxisONE Prime package. I’m the one using our home Maxis Home Fibre. It’s good that they now get unlimited mobile date on their respective lines, but I hope to see Maxis to offer similar discount to MaxisONE Prime like it does to Hotlink Postpaid and Fibre.
*
Let's wait and see whether Maxis will revamp their Maxis Postpaid Unlimited (previously known as MaxisOne Prime) or not
But I don't think they will revamp yet as they previously just offer more data to other Maxis Postpaid plan laugh.gif

Actually the prepaid unlimited 35 is good for youtube 1080p with a little buffering. Unless you are downloading big files, it is good for normal usage. I changed from hotlink flex rm40 to this prepaid unlimited rm35

How about browsing IG, Twitch and Spotify?

Huawei phones on the other hand can't even force to 4G-only.
*
Other phone can't even select the band
From what I noticed is I can get speed around 60++ mbps before 6pm
After 6pm onwards, speed less than 10mbps sweat.gif

Wow green.. I want...Jealousnya... bangwall.gif

But I tested at night no problem able to reach above 10Mb.

Test for Hotlink Postpaid 30 speed with Fast.com
Tested 5 times. The lowest max speed is 10Mb while highest is 20Mb. The rest fluctuate within the range but it start slowly from 400kb till stop at the highest speed.
The speed test really huge data consumption. 160Mb for 5 times or 16 % of my 1Gb data monthly data.  doh.gif  But for testing ok la..benefit for all of us.

Before Test data balance

Well is just a simcard laugh.gif
For speedtest, if you are using Samsung phone can manually select the band
As I am using iPhone, I cannot select the band hence the speed is worse after 6pm doh.gif

sim card not really important as just using serial number to activate the plan + number

I tested outside, my speed around 40Mbps++ and when inside mall basement around 10Mbps++

similar to my maxis postpaid

#I can login using maxis postpaid apps and hotlink postpaid apps
*
You are using Hotlink Postpaid Flex plan how come can login Maxis postpaid apps? hmm.gif
Is it due to previously you are using Maxis Postpaid that why you are able to login?

Can Hotlink postpaid change to prepaid?

Currently using Hotlink postpaid RM 30, this is my main line for calling, 1gb just for backup.. I have another line for internet data which is yoodo

The prepaid video RM 25 monthly plan looks good value ....  my 1 month call around 30 mins. If change to prepaid and add call minutes on yoodo, I saved the SST and get more data.
*
yes can, few days ago I call maxis regarding downgrade
surprisingly can be done via phone call, sim card doesn't require to change laugh.gif
as they told me my current sim card is new one hmm.gif

They didn’t change the plans’ name. MaxisONE or Maxis Postpaid as they are now known, simply get whatever upgrades whenever Maxis upgraded them.

Actually, the old Hotlink Flex flyer that I took from Maxis Centre early last year had a clause saying up to 30Mbps speed too but based on users feedbacks, it is not enforced. Not sure if they finally will enforce it now.
*
Last year I subscribe to Hotlink Postpaid Flex at Maxis The Garden, the staff didn't told me regarding speed cap at all laugh.gif
Hope they won't enforce right now, although 30mbps is more than enough to stream youtube / twitch
