Aren't both served through 123? I called that number....

As stupid as it sounds, same company but treat different products as though different planets. Maxis is the only telco which does that. I experienced that before.

If you call to 123, you must be using your Hotlnk prepaid, so that the IVR will detect as "What type of customer you are".
Otherwise you have to call 1800-820-120 if you are using another telco or from a Maxis postpaid line.

Ookyo, lagi teruk, only online can reach out their customer service. Both 123 and 1800 hotline dont know about Ookyo procedure.

I baru kena.
Tried to request port in from Hotlink Flex to Ookyo. Ookyo says "Cannot" due to different platform (from postpaid to their hybrid prepaid). Nonsense. Gave up. So probably will either stick around, or consider porting out another better telco.

Port out for good.
I had similar issue. I don't know WTF is maxis problem. internally cannot switch. other telco OK.
Previously I was from Hotlink Prepaid to Postpaid - Can
Then I wanted from postpaid to OOKYO. Both maxis. But not allowed! Ookyo Said because mine is Postpaid. Cannot port in. But hotlink Pre-paid is allowed.

What kinda fking nonsense. Finally I ported out to YooDo. Got what I wanted.Plenty of Data. without the Ookyo VPN crap.

Kagekiyo

Which is rather stupid or cunning of Maxis. Its their own branding.
And yes, I encountered that before when I wanted to port into their (now deceased) Ookyo from my ex-Hotlink Postpaid.
Finally I flipped the bird to them and port straight into Yoodo.

But recently I changed my wife (under my name) number from DIGI to Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited. Rm 35/month BTW.

In comparison with old and new Hotlink Postpaid plan
I was on their old 1GB and No Youtube plan - RM 30.

Now I pay the same RM 30 for Yoodo I get
*20GB Data
*20GB Youtube
*No calls. (Instead use Whatsapp call, hehe biggrin.gif )

OK, if I wanted Unlimited call I can always opt for 2000 minutes - Additional RM 12 = RM 42.
Still beats Hotlink 40 plan.

And BTW, if u ask me whether Maxis is better than Celcom, IMHO, pros and cons, depending on area.

No no to Yoodo! The line always down (due to outage) which in my opinion sucks! And the line sucks too at my area. No no to Yoodo and Celcom.

LOL, why the triggered feeling? laugh.gif
I did not attempt to convert you or Kagekiyo to Yoodo. laugh.gif
If it sucks in your area, so be it. Stick with Maxis then.
Like I said earlier - I have Maxis, I have Yoodo, and also other lines too.

Each telco has its advantage and disadvantage in respective areas.
