That's weird. I am using Maxis around Klang Valley and I found not much problem on the network. Wherever I go,  mostly I get signal and the speed has been very consistent even for indoors and outdoors.  My speedtest shown above 30Mbps most of the time. Speaking of Waze, no issue as well as I can get consistent GPS signals.

Yes maxis is best in all area, I've been with maxis 15 years and been use in all area from jb till bkt kayu hitam don't have any issue.

I am at Bandar Sri Damansara area. Maxis at my phone able to reach 70-80Mbps here. I am using Huawei. Xiaomi phones depends, some are not really network capable to reach the higher speed due to hardware limitations. Celcom speeds sucks here. Maxis clear winner!

I tried on Digi 4G+ and U Mobile 4G, both cannot delivery faster speeds like Maxis 4G+.

This is to answer critics by one forumers here claimed that u mobile and digi is faster. Maxis is faster than u mobile and digi. This is the proof.

The ping rate not much difference la. Aiyah, the most important thing is stability and less congestion. So far no complaints on Maxis

Looking at Hotlink Postpaid Flex offerings again, they are geared towards promoting the Hotlink Postpaid Flex + Maxis Home Fibre 30Mbps package for RM99/month, which basically means a discount of RM60/month, and that’s huge!

So there is also a chance that we won’t see them revamping the Hotlink Postpaid Flex plan anytime soon as their main aim is to sign-up people for the bundle Hotlink Postpaid Flex package and not a standalone Hotlink Postpaid Flex line. How I wish Maxis Unlimited Postpaid and Fibre gets some discount too since it’s a bundled product, but all we get is unlimited mobile data.

If anyone switches to the new Hotlink Prepaid Video plan, there is a RM60 pass that sort of comes with better offering, as in it comes with 10GB full speed data, 20GB video data and unlimited calls. Only thing missing is unlimited SMS.

Yes. There is a chance of existing Hotlink Postpaid customers switching to either Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited or Hotlink Prepaid Video. But otherwise, it depends on what type of customers Hotlink Postpaid is going after. As the prepaid segment is getting cheaper and better every year, I can see Maxis following Thailand telco footstep for their postpaid offering, as in they will start focusing more and more on selling bundle products (mobile postpaid + home fibre). This is probably why Maxis has been extremely aggressively in expanding its fibre footprint. As a matter of fact, it’s the only Big 3 that has home fibre coverage that is as wide as TM, or wider now since Maxis also partners with Allo too.

Are you referring to the RM60 pass on Hotlink Prepaid Video ? Because I was referring to this pass not offering unlimited SMS, not Hotlink Postpaid.

Finally, I have signed up the hotlink postpaid at Maxis Center after I can't found my favorite number for Hotlink prepaid after search local shop and online shop. I managed to get 6 out of 7 number matched that I prefer (4 digit number max each search) with 017 prefix. Initially search for 012 prefix number, but most of my favorite number is not available ( my favorite number is not VIP or golden number) and also try to search golden number or vip but not available too. It seems like 012 prefix probably out of unused numbers because every new search it will display 0 to 3 options available (mostly not available for vip and golden no.) 4 digit numbers randomly in front , center or last 4 matched digit numbers. No wonder they want to reserve 012 exclusive for the maxis postpaid. While 017 prefix, easily to get 7 to 10 matched number for you to choose. I did not further search for others since got my wanted number after the search.

I choose RM30 + Unlimited Social package (RM 10) package with no contract. I can port out to other telco after 1 month or to Hotlink Prepaid after 6 months. But i think i will port out after 1 month because the price is expensive and not worth to stay except Maxis revised the plan within a month to match with hotlink prepaid.
I asked the Maxis staff when will be the bill cycle but he seems buat bodoh saja. After I read this thread from beginning, one forum member posted that the bill cycle will be on 23rd every month and will be prorate but not the add on ( unlimited social or unlimited chat). If he told earlier, I will not sign up the Hotlink Postpaid and wait until 24th only sign up the package.     Just left a week to bill cycle but kena full charge for the add on.

Oh ya, I can confirmed that all the Hotlink Prepaid Red and Super sim pack will be expiring on 31 Dec 2020 based on stock at maxis center, local shop and online shop.

My new number is recycle number where previous owner is Malay owner based on the facebook registration exist. So far yet to receive any spam sms and call. If got, I have to terminate the line..

First day register still not yet use the service sudah kena bill yet I have to pay RM10 add on that not even insert sim to the phone until today.... last time i use prepaid Maxis telan my money and i angry port out from it. Now it repeat again. Really Max Shit!!  

Next month cancel or port out from the service..betul betul CB punya!!! why can't you bill next month?

That’s extremely messed up indeed!

Assuming Maxis Postpaid do get priority connection, the green card shown above won’t get it because I noticed that’s a Hotlink Postpaid account. The system will recognise your account plan, not the color of your SIM. They are supposed to send out a red sim since it’s for Hotlink Postpaid, but some staffs just grab whatever sim they see, scan the barcode to the system and link your number to the SIM card.
