QUOTE(ckh6003 @ Jun 24 2020, 04:30 PM) Congrats. I am not sure but comparing as Digi postpaid user, it is faster and fast deplete your data. Within 3 minutes of using Shopee apps to checkout item it took 20mb of my data ( first time use Maxis data to try the apps loading and it is fast compared Digi). For Digi, it seems the data is not deducting at all (or slow updates) and both network using the same dual sim phone. Also browsing the FB apps is much more smoother and no lag a second for loading compared to Digi. Luckily it is unlimited.. May I know any different for the internet speed with Maxis Postpaid ? I been told by Maxis's MEP, Maxis postpaid users will enjoy faster internet speed compared to Hotlink Postpaid user. |

So hopefully is true actually if my speed is 10Mbps also good enough for me for youtube, netflix, etc Previously I am using maxis 128 + share line 48 (both have zerolution) but since march seldom use data so I paid both phone penalty to terminate contract share line port out to unifi mobile and primary line now hotlink postpaid 60 |

QUOTE(GEN.2 @ Jun 24 2020, 07:27 PM) Someone who purchase from Lazada Maxis Official Mall get this green card Assuming Maxis Postpaid do get priority connection, the green card shown above won’t get it because I noticed that’s a Hotlink Postpaid account. The system will recognise your account plan, not the color of your SIM. They are supposed to send out a red sim since it’s for Hotlink Postpaid, but some staffs just grab whatever sim they see, scan the barcode to the system and link your number to the SIM card. ![]() While I get this red card. Have you checked out the new Hotlink Prepaid Video ? There is a monthly pass that you need to pay only RM60 and you get 10GB data + 20GB video data + unlimited calls. For Hotlink Postpaid, you pay RM63.60 (inclusive of SST) but you get 10GB less video data (YouTube). Hotlink Postpaid however, comes with unlimited SMS too whilst Hotlink Prepaid doesn’t. |

Correct, the SIM card is just an inventory tied to your account. It's your account profile which is limits your speed. Also I found a serious flaw in Maxis's network which is causing the slowdowns. It's Band 7 connections is usually the culprit that messes with your connection from getting optimal speed. If you've a phone/modem cannot pre-select bands or allow CA to mixed bands but rely on auto assignment, you'll usually get slower speeds due to Band 7 signals with smaller bandwidth will override Band 3 with wider bandwidth when locking on bands. Your speed will usually cut down by half. |

I only know for Samsung phones.*#2263# and then select the desired band(s). Huawei phones on the other hand can't even force to 4G-only. |
