I've been using this plan for almost two years. time to jump ship but the stability of maxis/hotlink is godlike
*
You get what you pay bro! That's explains why Maxis/Hotlink is expensive.

but come on, pls give us Volte la.
*
Well, VOLTE or not, not important, I've tried VOLTE on Unifi Mobile and Digi previously, both sucks to the max, better use the conventional phone, much clearer and better.

I saw lowyat.net the advertisement for hotlink.
Hotlink postpaid plan come with 30gb with internet and youtube only from rm60.
Now waiting hotlink to announce the new postpaid plan
*
That is only add-on to the current plan. Not permanent plan. You have to subscribe yourself using the Hotlink Postpaid app.

QUOTE(Kagekiyo @ Sep 3 2020, 02:33 PM)
I'm a current MaxisOne 128 postpaid user who has 2 subsidiary lines under my principal line resulting in me paying RM250 a month.

I recently saw the latest Hotlink Postpaid plans and the Postpaid 40 with 16GB for RM40 a month seems perfect for me given that i only use at most, 5GB a month out of my total monthly 120GB allocated pool data shared across the 3 x lines.

Paying RM40 x for 3 lines (RM120 per month) seems like a worthwhile deal vs paying RM250 per month thus saving rm130 a month.

Is anyone considering to switch over to Hotlink Postpaid from Maxis One postpaid? Does anyone have any sharing in terms of service quality after making the switch? Thanks!

Maxis Postpaid cannot change directly to Hotlink Postpaid, need to port out and re-port in again to Hotlink Postpaid.

Kagekiyo

Which is rather stupid or cunning of Maxis. Its their own branding.
And yes, I encountered that before when I wanted to port into their (now deceased) Ookyo from my ex-Hotlink Postpaid.
Finally I flipped the bird to them and port straight into Yoodo.

But recently I changed my wife (under my name) number from DIGI to Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited. Rm 35/month BTW.

In comparison with old and new Hotlink Postpaid plan
I was on their old 1GB and No Youtube plan - RM 30.

Now I pay the same RM 30 for Yoodo I get
*20GB Data
*20GB Youtube
*No calls. (Instead use Whatsapp call, hehe biggrin.gif )

OK, if I wanted Unlimited call I can always opt for 2000 minutes - Additional RM 12 = RM 42.
Still beats Hotlink 40 plan.

And BTW, if u ask me whether Maxis is better than Celcom, IMHO, pros and cons, depending on area.
*
No no to Yoodo! The line always down (due to outage) which in my opinion sucks! And the line sucks too at my area. No no to Yoodo and Celcom.

no subsidiary line for hotlink postpaid. even one ic can register two lines, they will have different account numbers. Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Postpaid is not allowed. one of the trick is that walk in to Maxis Centre (Not MEP), tell them you want to change to prepaid and their retention department will call and offer 6 months discounts for Maxis One Plan. tell them you want to change to hotlink postpaid and they will change for you without have to change to prepaid.

That's a good information bro!

Maxis One can straight downgrade to Hotlink Postpaid?
Or need to MNP out then in again?
*
By right cannot. But you can try play a trick, u MNP to other telco, then the CS will call you for retention, you say you want to convert to Hotlink Postpaid, and done!

Nowadays the loyalty programme seems catchy! If u stay above 6 months with Hotlink Postpaid (any plan), you will get many bonus data which is good as an appreciation to its customers!

Yes, and also if one is in the east coast or east Malaysia, sign up for the respective ECEM plan to get Rm10 - rm20 discount.
*
Yes, and if they add the appreciation bonus, they have beaten UM postpaid 35 in terms of data offerings with RM10 more. (Only for Hotlink Postpaid 45 & above)

Off Air, Hotlink Postpaid (Only) does awards its customers lots of data for Free (without any contract). What off-air means?

Means you will get it thru their promotional SMS to you without any publicity on the Hotlink website. As you go along, more rewards awaiting you.

E.g. Published data plans + appreciation bonus + data bonus (off air) ... can reach up to 300GB for just RM45 or RM60 plan onwards.

Now Hotlink Postpaid customers can now play the Spin The Wheel on every Sunday. Previously on prepaid can play.
