Me and my wife are expecting our first child (twin girls). Were both working away from our hometown. My wife works 8-5pm, I work 8-12pm mostly but sometime need to stay till late night.
I thought of getting a maid to help out with the household chores once the babies are born. I also probably use the maid service till the kids are manageable (maybe 4-5years old). My wife is abit reluctant as reliable maids (Philippines) cost much more than a daytime babysitter (~500per kid). Both our mothers probably wont help out as they are not willing to leave KL and stay with us.
Any of u guys have experience with having a maid / daytime babysitter? what are the pros ans cons?

QUOTE(Adri Wing @ Feb 27 2018, 03:33 AM) Aiyoh ... susah bro. We had 2 girls too (2 yrs apart). We had a maid then but took care of our children on our own .... both working too. We send the baby & maid to mil house in the morning. Not possible in my case as both our families are in KL while we're currently working in Kedah.

Getting Started

|
Better send to babysitter rather then hire maid. Babysitter has more experience taking care of baby rather than maid. Furthermore can you trust or feel safe leaving your baby with maid at home since u n yr wife work? Easier to communicate also sincr babysitter is local people.
